I ordered these VIVOHOME RV Steps to use by my hot tub, which has been inactive for the winter. I just attempted to assemble this product and didn’t make it past the first step in the manual. The two step caps are different, but the manual doesn’t tell you that. After trying to install the first one at the top, as instructed, I learned the hard way that the top step has four corners notched out for the frame while the bottom step has only two. Then came the big FAIL. One of the corners was mis-shaped, almost like a bad weld, even though it isn’t welded. The blob of metal in the corner obstructs the frame from seating in the stair cap. This will never go together without some reshaping of the corner, if that is even possible. I don’t feel like buying a Dremel to find out. I have provided a photos of the “problem” corner that you can compare with a normal corner. The photo of the mis-shaped washer is more evidence of poor manufacturing and/or QC issues. If it went together easily and properly, I’d probably give it four stars. But, not today.

I put these together to use not for an RV, but as a substitute for a rung ladder into my crawl space. It works really well for that purpose.

Hubby spent about 2 hours putting it together. Takes two to move it so build it where you're going to be using it.

This item is as described. Easy to put together. The one I received was missing some small parts. Contacted seller with a couple pictures & they sent out replacement parts quickly. Great customer service. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

The wooden front steps on my double wide finally disintegrated, creating a safety hazard. I have been planning to build a new front porch for some time, but I procrastinated too long...it was 104°F today!I was hesitant on buying these steps after reading some of the not-so-shining reviews, but for my personal experience:- All the parts and hardware were present, including a spare screw or two- All parts were well manufactured, fit as intended with very little effort, and looked good- Assembly was easy...my wife and I put it together in the air conditioned living room in about 30 minutes with the supplied tools and then carried it outside- It is possibly just a tad shaky, but placed on the stone pavers ($1.88 at big box store) as a foundation it is sturdy enough to last at least until the fall when I can build a proper porchA similar locally built wooden set was priced at $500 so I felt the price was justified. It will be repurposed somewhere else once replaced (when it cools off again, of course!)

It went together easy, handles 250 lbs with no problem. Hex wrench is soft metal recommend having better one to tighten bolts (5mm). Bought for wife she has knee issues. Makes it much easier to get in and out of RV.
