THIS IS A UPDATE TO MY FIRST REVIEW OF THIS KIT. I worked through the problem that I had with this kit and finally got everything to work. Customer support from the vendor is AWESOME. Also, I stick by my comment about using YouTube to complete this project. Most if not all the YouTube videos that I viewed contributed to the success of this installation. I have installed this kit on a trike and it is an amazing product that does exactly what it advertises. Thank You Yejing Store. The kit (less the electrical connections) is fairly straight forward. After watching countless YouTube videos the fun part was hooking up the battery to the kit and the kit to the controller. The installation manual for wiring is pretty straight forward but unless you can see 20/20 you will need a magnifying glass to really see how the connectors are attached to the controller. I suggest a better idea is to use the YouTube tutorials to figure out which connector goes to which connector even though all the connectors are color coded. After finally getting everything connected and powered on the front wheel motor is DOA. I spent about 3 hours checking all the connections, etc. No power to the motor! I called a ebike bike store and explained my problem. They did not sound very reassuring that they could help me. So I have decided to return the kit (I will have to pay postage). The battery that I purchased I cannot return. I will try to sell it on Craigslist and recover some of my cost. The bike wheel kit is really nice and I am really disappointed that I couldn't get it to work. I have some $600.00 invested in this project. My only regret is that I should have gone to a local bike shop and have the job done professionally. The estimated price to do the job turnkey was $600.00 to 800.00. By the way I tried to install this system on a Trike.

Awesome Customer Service, they were able to send me a second one with no problem after USP lost the first one. Very friendly and helpful, everything through email. Very easy to install and worked like a charm. Installed on a bike I had for the last 30 years a Pacific 5000 bike. Turn something old into something new and exciting again. Finally, I was able to take it out for a ride due to the weather. Awesome, fast, and powerfully and I was able to get it past 25 mp after that it was getting dangerous so I stopped. The only drawback I have is that they could make the LCD screen and the Throttle a little better in quality. The screen and twist throttle just feel very cheap otherwise it is an awesome product. Looking to buy another one if you make and 24" front wheel hub for my daughter's bike. Please let me know. Highly Recommended!!!Installed the Front Wheel Hub and ran all the wire to the back of the bike. End up placing controllers and all the wire into an electrical box to keep the bike clean. (Project Box IP65 Waterproof Junction Box ABS Plastic Black Electrical Boxes 7.87 x4.72 x2.95 inch) Screwed the box under the rack and put the battery on the top of the bike rack. The Bike is a lot more balanced with the weight of the wheel hub motor in the front and the battery in the back with the controller.

I installed this on my wife's bike since she had trouble keeping up with me, and riding hills to her meant walking her bike up them. After installing this she said she really enjoys going for rides and still gets plenty of exercise, just only when she wants. I didn't install the petal sensor or connect the speed limiter jumper -- she just uses the twist throttle and that seems to be fine. Don't know the range (everyone asks) but I'd guess 25+ miles with occasional use. Note that the hub motor and the battery are heavy, so this adds a lot of weight to the bike. I'm also a little concerned about it being weather-proof but it has been in the rain a few times without any issue.Installation notes:Install was a bit of a project due to the drop-frame, and you can see I put the controller on the neck-tube. That wasn't my ideal but it kept the wires short (they are all crammed into that little bag). I used a "Unit Pack Power 48V ebike Battery, 14AH" with the 3 clips since you can see the straight-portion of the tube is barely long enough. I has an imperceptible bow to it which makes clipping/unclipping the batter a pita, but this is not a review for that. I bought a "LIXINTIAN 10AWG 45A Connector to SAE Connector Cable ,for Pre-Wired RV Boat Charge Battery Solar Panel, with 1 SAE Polarity Reverse Connector-1.6ft/0.5m" to connect between the controller and the battery so that I didn't need to hack any connectors -- only difference is the cable has a larger SAE connector so I expanded/crimped to make it work. The bike (Diamondback Serene) came with twist shifters, and the right side interfered with the throttle so I replaced both shifters with "1Pair Bike Shifters, Bike Thumb Gear Shifter with Inner Cables(3x7Speed) Brand: VGEBY" which seem to work fine, although it took some getting used to. I added "Torque arm-Universal for E-Bike Electric Bicycle -Front or Rear,M14 for E-Bike Conversion Kit,Electric Bike kit Torque arm for BLDC hub Motor Brand: NBpower" since the motor is very high-torque and I started to worry about it breaking free. That should be it. The manuals are not very helpful so be prepared to experiment/adapt along the way.
