Installed it in my RZR 800, 2012 and it lasted 5 kilometers before a distinct burning electrical smell, then a voltage spike. Don't waste your money.

Listen…I know it’s not OEM and you get what you pay for. I bought this to assist in possible trouble shooting of an issue I had with my Ranger. It did not solve the issue, because the regulator/rectifier was not the problem. So I just left it in place. So it’s been in use for a grand total of 4 months and it has stopped working already. So it’s junk. Warranty from the buyer is 3 months. Into the trash it goes. My fault for not returning it immediately after realizing my issue wasn’t the regulator and that the 10 year old original regulator was still functioning (which is what I replaced THIS item with). SO….buyer beware!

I bought this for my Polaris ranger since the original had been on there for 10 years I thought I would change it even though it was charging fine. I didn’t want to break down out on the trail from the second I plug this thing in it charged over 15 V through the check engine light, but the original one on light went off charge like it was supposed to took it off put this one back Charged over 15 V and through the check engine light I would’ve returned it but I had waited a couple of months after I bought it to put it on so I was outside of my return window for Amazon. This thing is worthless. it’s a piece of crap. I wasted my money on this.

My ranger was having issues with the battery keeping a charge. I replaced the regulator and the problem seems to be gone. Time will tell.
