I have used a lot of magnifiers and this is only second to Eotech in my opinion. Holosun is good but the mount is weak compared to the vortex. The alignment of the vortex 3x is also perfect for running it with Eotechs with a riser like the 512’s and EXPS2’s.

Used with my Eotech and could not be happier. Vortex has another winner here. Great clear glass. Quality construction. Easy to flip out of the way for close action or flip into position for targets 100 yards or more. Used out to 200 yards for me.

Being my first magnafier, I would say it works as intended. Mount is really good, however, the Q.D. lever flips closed right next the the end of my charging Handel and forces me to only be able to charge the AR15 from the right side. You would think why don't you just move it forward...problem is the eye relief is such that it really doesn't allow for this. So you are forced to move it as far back as the rail allows and I still find myself forced to adjust my head forward. That is not to say the eye relief is bad...it's just a small optic and runs true to what others have said about the Holosun magnifier. It's functionally a bit better in the sense the tube is longer. However, I trust Vortex more than Holosun and feel like this is a quality optic for the price.

Excellent clarity, aberration free lens, wide peripheral vision, forgivIng eye relief. The quick mount holds zero no matter how many times you remove and reattach the magnifier. Flips out of the way when not needed. 1/3 co-witness height common to most red dots, reflex sights, and holographic sights. Superbly manufactured.

New Vortex Micro x3 Magnifier!!! Awesome, compact, and lightweight. The qd mount it comes with is extremely solid! I believe it uses the same qd lever as midwest industries. The flip-to-side lock up is also very very solid. There is no wiggle at all. I have this mounted behind my Trijicon MRO with the midwest industries lower 1/3rd mount and it pairs up nicely. You have the use the additional riser plate that comes with the magnifier to achieve the lower 1/3rd. At first it seems like the magnifier sits a hair too low, but once you adjust the qd lever tight enough to the upper it will line up just right and all you have to do is center the red dot in the magnifier using the adjustment turrets. In the box you get the mount, magnifier, lens covers, 2 pairs of different sized screws (shorter screws for no riser plate to achieve absolute co witness, longer screws for use of riser plate for lower 1/3rd.), allen key, cleaning cloth and manual.Update 09/16/18After further testing this magnifier behind the trijicon MRO, I've found that it does not play well. After a few seconds of looking thru it, the trijicon MRO red dot becomes distorted and forms a line that makes it difficult to tell where the actual red dot it. However, it works great the Holosun red dots.
