I have been a Vortex fan for years now. I recently purchased a Vortex Siren for my AR and chose this mount for it.The details are all there. Rounded corners, steel inserts in the ring threads, Torx ring screws, recoil stop lugs on the rail connection and large 1/2 hexagon nuts ( that are captured and can’t fall out) that will mount securely after repeated removal and installs. This mount will be there when lighter or cheaper ones are gone.Worth the money!

I put a 34mm scope on my rifle with this Vortex mount. The scope was under $500, and less expensive than the 30mm tubed one I removed. Somehow the rifle shoots smaller patterns now (after the scope and scope mount change) even though I am using the same ammo. Why, I am asking myself? I checked the ring alignment and this mount did not require lapping (as opposed to most other rings/mounts I have). I'm going to confirm it, but I doubt the old scope was at fault for any lack of accuracy. I can see the old mount is not as solid of a design as this Vortex. Maybe I need to look into getting some better mounts for some of my other scopes? Curious now.

Solid mount for the price. Works great for spr/dmr type setups mounting full size scopes on ar's. And you can't go wrong with vortex's warranty

Very good for the L.P.V.O. It’s on the primary arms 1-6 it’s light but super well made… the vortex precision mount is beefier and on a more expensive 5-25-56 scope with a 34 mm tube.

When I got this mount I was immediately impressed with the overall build quality and the heavy (but not too heavy) weight. Don't get me wrong, this mount is pretty light and I don't consider it "heavy," but I mean that it didn't feel cheap. It was a good kind of heavy.One problem that I thought I had with the mount, was that the two ribs under the mount that are supposed to sit in the slot of the picatinny rail sections, didn't fit the full size of the gap like I thought they should. I gave Vortex a call and asked about the problem because the mount was sliding around when I had partially mounted it on my rail, and they said that the ribs actually are not supposed to sit flush inside the slots. Instead, the scope mount is supposed to sit forward against the rail and then tightened all the way. This seems a little bit odd to me, because if the scope were to suddenly get pressed backwards really fast from it falling or anything else, it might knock the mount backwards a little on the rail, and you wouldn't be able to notice. But I do trust the Vortex team, and if they say thats how it's supposed to be, then ok. I'll just have to secure it very tightly with some red lock tight to make sure it doesn't come loose at all.
