Was hoping I could find a snuffer with a hook for hanging at least until it cooled. Fut this works fine on candles in a container and dinner candles.

Was looking forward to this. The wooden handle was cracked and brittle and the snuffer part of the product, while pretty, was snapped out of its place. I put it back together with tape. Would not recommend as this is a relatively shoddy product.

I love this snuffer. It is of great quality and works as intended. The top portion is brass and swivels to snuff out the flame. Bottom portion is carved out of wood. It has held up nicely the last several months and the brass part still looks like new (I wipe out the flame soot that accumulates on the inside of the bell after each use). I keep it on my coffee table and it is convenient to put out my candles as well as a very attractive piece of art. Happy with this purchase.
