Gave it four stars instead of five because the latch on this part doesn't quite close and stay like the OEM part we removed.It is one of the BEST VALUE items on Amazon! If your 3rd Gen 4Runner has a worn center console lid, get this and you'll wonder why you didn't do this earlier.Tip: Save the latch mechanism from the factory lid and put it on this one so things will stay tight.Another Tip for OCD-Restoration Types: If your OEM factory console lid has a the stitched 'three part' leather, you can disassemble it and either buy the new leather (about $7.00) or make up your own if you know how to sew. In fact, you can make a single piece leather cover, reassemble, and now you can save this one. Not a lot of work really.

Bought this as a replacement console lid for my husbands ‘97 4Runner. As a used-car purchase, the original console lid was cracked from sun exposure and lack of cleaning/care. This matched the existing color scheme and fit like a glove. Be careful not to snap the black plastic arms from the inside of the console when removing the original lid.
