Luckily I have a problem solver for a Dad.Maybe we couldn't figure out the instructions, but the brass connections for the hot and cold water that anchor the unit to the counter top were too short. I switched from a laminate to a quartz countertop which is actually thinner. Not sure what we would have done with a thicker countertopWe had to modify the bolts to make room to be able to screw on the hot and cold water lines.It was behind a deeper sink so it was tricky.All that said, it's beautiful.

Installation requires large bucket (you'll likely need it), lots of time, and even more patience - at least that's my experience. After it was completely installed, the actual faucet leaked at the same location that other reviews have posted videos of (hence the large bucket). We had family arriving for Thanksgiving the next day, so waiting for a replacement wasn't an option. So I removed the 4 screws holding the spout on and found that the water connection going to the spout is a slip fitting that's sealed with 2 o-rings. There was too much play in the fitting (in-out direction), so when water pressure is applied it slips out and only then 1 o-ring is sealing.... and not very well at that. I was able to shim it with an oversized washer and a dap of glue (hopefully it holds). Now it works like a champ. But it took all evening and patience ran thin. Recommend testing before installing.
