I never worked on a washer before and yeah several panels had to be removed but very easy to do. New seal went on easy and the spring took a little bit since I didn't have a spreader tool. Overall it took me about 1 hour and works great. Being a new seal I have to hold in on the door while starting until it locks but this should go away in a week or so to allow the seal to relax and not push against the door.

Wasn’t too bad to fit to washer liner and door. Remember where to place springs ends for proper seal

No fault of this manufacturer, but the install sucks. Might have been worth it to buy the part and have a technician install based on timelength. You have to completely disassemble from the back to take the top off then disassemble from the front to get the front off. This item works and fits like it should. Getting it onto the drum isn't easy, but would rather it be tight than leaking like the old one was. As title suggests. For the first few months I had to hold the door closed in order for the door to lock and start cycle.

The gasket was a perfect fit and solved our problem.

Installed and working just fine. Would be 5 stars but I had to stretch it alittle to get it on

It was a tight fit but I got it in and no more leaks!! I’m very happy with this purchase. Like I said you might need two people to stretch it on but it dose go on and it supposed to be tight. Happy to have our washer working again!

I have a whirlpool duet WFW8300SW00. I tried for weeks to install this gettingore and more frustrated. Finally I gave up and installed the old crusty one which I did not want to do but I was able to install the original in a few minutes seal and all. I don't think it's the sellers fault as this is the second new seal I've tried, I think the replacement part that whirlpool recommends is just too different from the original part.

The seal was folded into a smaller box for shipping. Install was fairly easy. My original leak behind the counter weight is gone. But now have a small leak from the door. Upon deeper investigation, the seal and wire clamp are installed correctly but did notice where the seal at the bottom is not flared out like the rest of the seal. The seal is folded inwards and not creating a water tight seal with the door.
