Your cart is empty.The GASAV-R timer is a non-electric valve for use on BBQ grills as well as fireplaces / fire pits. Timer can be set anywhere up to 60 minutes. This timer valve has saved me so much money in wasted gas. I often forget to turn off the gas grill after cooking a meal and allowing it to burn off any excess drippings. When used properly, as in "DON'T turn it the wrong way", it works flawlessly. I've been using it several times a week for several months now and it's rock solid. Definitely worth the investment for Natural gas grills and propane too.

I have owned several of these valves and ultimately they all failed due to people dialing them backwards. They never last much more than a year because eventually, someone will be at the house and dial it backwards. If it's dialed backwards (even once), it will start sticking and not count down and shut off - which defeats the whole purpose of having the valve. I'm done with them and will not be purchasing any more replacements. They say right in the instructions that if you dial it backwards it will damage the valve. My point is that it's not a very robust design especially given the price of the valve. And, pretty much anybody who puts their hands on it will dial it backwards unless they are specifically told not to. Will be looking for an alternative replacement valve.

I bought this to trial using as a timer for an LPG heated hot tub but I don't think I will likely use it due to it's bulkiness. From my gas bottle I already have a regulator and valve rigidly attached and by adding this item on I am worried any accidental force on the attachements could easiy cause a breakage/rupture in the fittings near the bottle. If it could be attached by a flexible hose then maybe I would use it but I'm not sure that would be compliant.

Our company uses these for use on Apartment complex grills, and these are the only timer valves that we have found that will withstand such heavy and frequent use.

We've occasionally run a propane tank dry by leaving it on. We were afraid that with a natural gas grill the same issue could be very much worse. This easy-to-use shut of valve is guaranteed peace of mind. Simply set it and start your grilling.It took about five minutes to install. Some gas pipe thread and two crescent wrenches and it was all done!I've had it outside in the torrential rain and hot August sun. Works exactly as promised.
