I purchased this ahead of a family camping trip. It's small and compact, but also...nostalgia got the better of me!I have a 4 year old who finds the traditional catch game a bit tricky as the ball is quite heavy and often falls off her pad when she manages to catch it. This just leads to frustration and her not wanting to play anymore (much to my disappointment) and that's where this wonderful adaptation of the classic comes in!This had a lightweight weighted tube instead of a ball - you can throw it however you like (overarm, underarm, over your shoulder, left or right handed, really badly like a 4 year old with limited skills etc...) and it will always correct itself so that the weighted end is first. The tube then catches on the pads really easily. You only need to catch a corner of the tube for it to stick and the tube is really lightweight so doesn't plop off or cause wrist pain when it slams into your pad.The pads are also really lightweight and flexible. They adjust to fit my 4 year olds tiny hands as well as my husbands gargantuan hands using the velcro strap. They aren't made of solid plastic like the version we are all familiar with which makes them more comfortable to wear - I think we will be ordering a second one so that we can play as a family.This is my favourite purchase of the summer. Now we can play for as long as my daughter wants without frustration and my husband and I get to act like big kids again...what's not to love?!

I was skeptical how well this would fly but it's great, fly's pretty far if you give it the perfect throw, lots of summer fun and a perfect small gift for anyone that loves a game or to be active on a day at the beach or park.
