The welds look to be done by a junior welder, but the installation was really easy. Fit like a glove.

Easy installation only took about 10 minutes to install fit my 02 PT cruiser perfect. You will need to purchase a clamp size is 2 1/4". Installs in same location using your rubber mounts front your other muffler.Shipping was a bear on this it took a long time to get but came wrapped in plastic on a pallet. Sound is about the same as stock but the car does feel like it has a bit more power. Only a small amount more of power.

Replacement of factory (Chrysler) muffler - This did the job. I installed it myself and found it to be adequate for sound deadening purposes. Factory mufflers are 1.6 times more expensive. Considering this is a late model vehicle (2001) this apparatus did the job. P.S. Factory mufflers may not be available due to the P.T. Cruiser models out of production status!!

Fit as expected, as you may know the PT uses a band clamp on this section of exhaust. Due to being a rust belt car I opted to buy a new band clamp from the local parts store for 10.00 and pop this unit in in less than 10 minutes. Great quality and to-tolerance build specifications made this an easy install.Additional: Get some Silicone spray, PB Blaster or even WD-40 and lubricate the rubber exhaust hangers before install and removal of the muffler. This will save you some time getting it on the hangers. Also the stickers on the unit are a pain to get off I opted to leave what I couldn't get off and let it burn off with use. This method worked well a good drive above 45MPH and the sticker residue had smoldered and fallen off.

Great muffler with a good price. Fit like a glove on the 2003 PT Cruiser Turbo. Sounds quiet. It is a standard muffler but for $57 how could you complain? Easy install - had it on in under 30 minutes.

The price was good, the fit was great, and it is quiet. However, the welds didn't look very professional. There was a lot of weld splatter and discolored metal. The metal is also thin. I suspect this muffler will rust out rather quickly. So, with these mixed thoughts, I would still buy because the good outweighs the bad.
