It's not a Walkman (which I think is a Sony trademark) but it's a fine portable casette player. Automatically switches the tape direction so you don't have to open the case to play Side 2. Also has MP3 and USB stuff, apparently, which doesn't matter to me -- I just wanted a cassette player to hook on my belt when I walk. And so far, so good.

I was looking for something to be able to take boxes of old-time radio show cassettes to convert to to mp3. This unit has been working perfectly. Though there is a "hum" noise when listening the cassette through the unit, I'm not hearing it when I record using the USB cable and Audacity.

Description said it would work with Mac, but it doesn't. They include a CD-ROM for the software to use this product, however Macs don't have CD drives anymore! False representation :(

音質が悪いです。すぐに壊れそうです。安いのでまあこんなものでしょうか?音楽のデータ化には向かないと思います。

I bought this unit.. admittedly not expecting a lot for the low entry level price tag. It comes with a USB Cord, and earbuds that have attachable foam covers. It can not only handle USB input, but there is a headphone jack.. and a power adapter jack. Simple, straightforward controls that are consistent in operation.Impressions: I was surprised by the double capstan, automatic reverse playback feature.. you never have to turn over a cassette to hear the other side! It runs off of USB power nicely (the cable that comes with the unit works just fine for this), and the headphone jack puts out a pretty decent sound - using a decent pair of headphones. You also have the option to put 2 1.5V AA batteries for portable use. I didn't try the USB audio interface in the PC.. but more on that below..Now, for the issues: This transport is a bit noisy - if you have a recording that is low in volume that you wish to digitize, you may want to opt for a much higher quality unit that has a quieter transport - hence I didn't bother to try to usb audio interface. But, with higher level recordings, the transport noise doesn't show up very much at all, making this a great unit for reviewing or playing tapes. Next, the earbuds are your basic entry level units.. not very easy to wear, "blonky" sound quality, and the foam covers are impossible to get on! Best to pair this unit with better quality headphones.. it does sound pretty decent with good phones. While the unit does have a DC input jack, nowhere in the manual or on unit is there an indication of voltage needed.. I assume it's +5VDC.. just like the USB supply.. "caveat emptor"..Conclusion: if you just want to listen to tapes portably, this unit fills the bill for very low price point. The autoreverse/loop feature is a real plus, as you don't have to flip over a cassette.. simply touch a button to change direction. Surprisingly good volume levels and sound quality as well. Not bad at all for the my original intended use to preview cassettes prior to digital conversion.. to save wear on my better quality deck.

I spent too much time trying to find a player that didn’t include radio plus. It’s great to find a product that is exactly what’s being searched for. It is a great little player; easy to operate and has great features ie auto reverse & sound. Take it to bed with me and go to sleep with music I love from days before CD’s; & I have a large collection of older tapes. Will buy again if need be.

i got this to try and rip some cassettes i made so i can have them as mp3s. i already have another cassette player that can't do that, as well as an older cassette player that can but was missing the cable and has a few annoying issues, so i got this one. it's about as expensive as that second cassette player was. oh man. the audio quality on this thing is so atrocious that i almost like itthe noise on the mp3s is tolerable but the pitch is significantly lower than the cassettes themselves and sometimes wavers for a few seconds and returns to a higher pitch. it plays slower than it should — my 42 minute playlists come out around 46 minutes when i record them from this player. the worst part of it is what happens when the music swells. every time a song gets louder, it'll play at the right volume for a second or so and then drop the volume to about halfway, so you can barely hear it. it's incredibly jarring. while it's quieter it gets much tinnier, which is impressive considering how tinny it already is. i am telling you this thing sounds BAD!! i almost love it. if it didn't drop the volume i would actually keep using it because it makes my music sound terrifying, which i enjoy.the play button is also hard to press, i have to press it 10-15 times to get it to actually stick, it'll just come right back up. this thing is awful!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 i literally started using my older player and it sounds so good and normal!!! why is this one so bad. nice job guys
