These cheap filters are all similarly priced. Lots of complaints from different brands with water not draining through them but the filter speed has been good for me. Removed all chlorine taste. The last set I bought (different brand no longer sold on Amazon), I cut one in half, cross-section, and was surprised to see that the entire lower section was just a tangle of white plastic string. I cannot imagine what purpose it solved other than as a cheap filler. I bought this one because pictures seemed to indicate that the charcoal and ion beads filled the entire tube - or at least did not have worthless filler in the bottom third. True, charcoal does not go all the way to the top (you can hold it up to the light to see that, or shake it) but it has more than others I have seen. For those who found the water did not flow through the filter, I wonder if they neglected to submerge the filter for awhile, or at least hold it under the sink faucet to thoroughly soak it; otherwise a vacuum can be created, preventing water to fully flow through.

I am not pleased with these filters. I thought I'd get the 6 pack & be ahead of the game. WRONG ! These are definitely inferior filters to the PUR brand. They fit the same, water tastes & smells fine. These do not filter very quickly, takes all day to filter the dispenser. Never again.

Worst I have yet bought! I follow all the rules but yet My water taste horrible (chemically) and the water doesn’t drain thru filter well at all!!!!!

This review is for the Water Filter Replacement for PUR Pitcher and Dispenser CRF950Z, CRF-950Z, PPF900Z, PPF951K, 4-in-1 Filter System, Effectively Reducing Lead, Chromium, PFOA, and PFOS Contaminants, Pack of 4From DESENRUISOkay, so our family has 3 different Pur products, two of which are the smaller pitchers and one which is the larger size dispenser.So I cleaned my large dispenser and installed this new Desenruis water filter in my larger PUR dispenser, as the product Q and A assured me that these filters are compatible in the larger Pur dispensers. Sure enough, the filter twisted in just fine with a tight seal. Now, the filter is quite long and it extends almost to the bottom of the dispenser with about a quarter or so inch clearance from the bottom.I'm also noticing the water filtering is very, very slow. This concerns me a bit as I'm not sure it will keep up with our family's water needs, but I do have a total of 3 different Pur dispensers, or one dispenser and two pitchers.I do have to say the water comes out crystal clear and it does tastes great. It does say to throw out the first batch of water.So, in summary, yes, the water does taste great so as far as I can tell, you're getting nicely filtered water but be warned that the filtering is very slow.
