Super easy to use! Takes less than a minute and that's counting opening the container and getting a test strip out! Dip the strip, compare the color, done! Long expiration date. Test strips are in foil packets to keep them fresher. Very reasonable price, recommend.

These test strips are very easy to use, and allowed me to determine the hardness of my water at home. Dip the stick in water for 2 seconds (the side with the square on the end) and hold it level for 15 seconds, then compare it to the shades of blue on the bottle. Mine was in the "soft" category of 25ppm, which I'm glad to hear, as it means I won't suffer as bad from mineral deposits or require a whole-house water softener that I then have to maintain. I'm sure these will be equally as useful for a pool, hot tub, etc. where water hardness has to be measured.

I was not sure If I had soft or hard water. I suspected that it could be hard. A few weeks ago, I had a hot water leak and ended up repairing my hot water heater. I found that there was some build up in it. The stuff that I found in the hot water was calcium build up, it looked like a white power as if I had packed baking soda and salt in it with a hint of green. I was told it was because of having hard water that calcium was a side effect. Now I can prove my water is hard. I tested several times and same results. I recommend these as they are easy to use, the bottle has an easy-to-read results table, the strips are sealed in packs of 10 so you do not have to open all for your test. The bottle has a screw top to keep all your strips safe. Great product.

This is not my first set of test strips. I got some maybe a couple years ago. It seems like they go bad after awhile, maybe because of opening the lid a few times to grab a test strip, and humidity ruins them, or something. So I was pleased to see that this set of strips puts them in several sealed foil mini-containers, which I am convinced will preserve the strips so that I can get me much more use. These tests tell me that my water softener is doing it’s job; very low mineral content, which is great news. Testing is so easy, and the results are so clear. The price for these strips is quite reasonable, and I recommend them.

We recently got a new water softener, so wanted to see if it's made a difference yet in our water hardness and quality, and it has. As you can see from the strip the color is now light blue so on the softer side of the scale. Super easy to use, just dip the stick in water for 2 seconds, take out and wait 20 seconds, and you have your results. 100 strips total in this kit so will last awhile. A good idea to test monthly so you don't ruin your dishes, hair, and skin with the effects of hard water.
