Fit well, not difficult to install. The only issue is the plate only fits one way and there aren't any instructions on which way it goes. Trial and error. Also the smoother side seems to be on the wrong side. I'd expect it to touch the impeller, but it doesn't. Seems to work though.

All parts fit perfectly except the plate. It did not line up with the bolt holes so I had to use my original plate.

These should be changed about every three years on an outboard. Recently purchased an older Mercury 40 hp and changed the water pump elements as a preventative maintenance measure. Easy to install and works great.

Works and fits perfectly. Easy to install as long as you have the proper manual for the outboard. Installed in a 50 hp Mercury.

This water pump kit fits the Merc 25 hp BigFoot four stroke outboard. That motor is a bit of an odd one and it was not easy finding a water pump kit for it. I could get individual parts elsewhere, but not a whole kit. This kit did the trick. It does not include a new drive shaft key, but unless you dropped the old one overboard you shouldn't need one. It has the water tubes for both the long and short shaft motors included in the kit. The wear plate is pretty symmetrical but not totally so. Pay attention to the way the old one came out and put the new one in the right way around.Everything in this kit fit as it should and got my water pump serviced in short order. No fussing and no drama, just the way it is supposed to be.Under the water pump there is a seal carrier with a couple of seals. No water pump kits ever include those, and people do not always change them with every water pump service, but if you are taking things apart that far you might want to have one in hand in case you decide it is time for a new one. There is a video on youtube now that shows how to disconnect the shift shaft on the 25Hp BigFoot four stroke motor to pull the lower unit. Simple enough when you see how, but not typical and not easy to see the connection if you haven't done one before. Save yourself some aggrivation if it is your fist time doing a water pump on this motor and look up the video.Peter
