These are great! It’s a good starter kit for the young ones. And they seem to be fairly simple to do and hold together well. We accidentally had one get in to our washing machine and dryer. It survived a watery day and a heated tumble!

These are adorable! They are great for a beginner. I got these for a group of kids age 7-11 and it’s perfect for them. Enough for them to get started but not so involved that they get overwhelmed and discouraged.

These are so cute and a great starter project for kids learning to cross stitch. It includes everything you need to complete the project. My 7 and 9 year old are able to complete these with only a little help from me (thread the needle, tie off the ends). My 5 year old needs a little more guidance, but is quickly picking up the skill. My favorite thing about these is that there is minimal mess!

I’ve been wanting to learn embroidery for years. I bought a “starter kit” before, but it was so intimidating that I never attempted it. This set was much more approachable, and I brought my husband and two sons (7yo and 10yo) along for the adventure. Please note that, while 10 embroidery patterns are included, only 5 of them can be completed as keychains. I noticed that the images show 10 hoops in one picture, and another picture states 5 keychain pieces. No, you only get 5 of each. The material is stiff and the holes for the thread to pass through are very easy to see. The embroidery floss matched the colors needed. The needles were blunt enough that I didn’t pierce skin despite accidentally jabbing myself with it rather hard on multiple occasions, but they went through the patterns easily. The instructions are critical, but they are missing in some important details too.–Unexpected relevant details in the instructions:You are instructed to split the embroidery thread into half so that you only work with 3 strands instead of the default 6 strands. You do not put the fabric on the hoop until after you have done the embroidery for this particular set.–Missing details that would have helped us:There is no guidance on how to secure the ends. I created a knot on the back end to keep it from slipping through the cloth, and then I passed the needle through previous stitches on the back side to secure the working end when I was done.On that note, I’ve seen embroidery done where you work from the middle of the embroidery thread, doubling the thickness of the thread, and cut the needle free when you hit a stopping point. I have no idea if that’s what was intended here. There is no explanation of the “in” vs “out” on their diagram, and I had to look at it multiple times before I realized that the blue x was meant to be crossing threads. So you know, “out” means the needle is coming from the back to the front, and “in” means the needle is coming from the front to the back. There is also no guidance on which stitches to do first in a row. If you work from left-to-right, you will find yourself needing to reenter the same hole you just exited when beginning a new stitch. You can avoid this by working right to left or going up/down instead.–My husband and kids had more trouble than I did. My 7yo son ended up with a total mess when I stepped away for a few minutes. I took the time to undo the mess since he actually does want to learn. My 10yo son had an easier time making the stitches, but kept jumping around between different sections for reasons unknown. My husband chose the narwhal and had fun altering the intended design to make a “rounder” tail. I started on the deer’s antlers and did them as instructed.Though we had not played with this yet, I do like how, on the patterns with white backgrounds, someone could draw a background and then embroider a pattern accordingly if they have their own thread. I may do that later with my deer.Overall, I’m thankful to have the set because it’s what got me comfortable starting embroidery. It only teaches one stitch type, but it’s enough to get someone started, and the pieces do look neat and tidy when done according to their instructions.

-This is a nice kit. My kids are beginners at cross stitch and with a little supervision these are great for them.-Each one is stamped with an image and the colors are easy to match up. I really like the black background to some of them-it makes the images pop.-I love that it came with multiple hoops and multiple needles so that multiple kids can work on them at the same time. This is usually a fight at our house over who gets to do it first!-These come with key-chain clips if you decide to keep them in the hoop. I think we are going to cover the backs of them with fabric and make them into ornaments for gifts!-I would recommend this set for anyone in your life that likes to cross stitch.

This is a super cute and simple stamped cross stitch project for beginners. Or even someone like me who's experienced that cross stitch and counted cross stitch but looking for something easy to do. The instructions are super clear it comes with multiple needles and other necessities to be able to complete these designs. My biggest complaint is that the hoops are decorative and not functional. While the cloth is very stiff and works well there are people who just prefer to work in a hoop like me.

This does seem to come with all you need for this craft. The only thing is these cute designs are just too complicated for someone who is a beginner or a child. I found it doesn't hold attention and is so easy to mess up that it become frustrating so just a heads up that it might be best for those who have done cross stitch before.
