The instructions finally have a size I can understand! There is an “actual size” picture of the clown fish on the instruction sheet. I love my clown fish! He’s awful fuzzy though, so I wonder if he needed to be poked more, but well, he’s done!Experience:I did it in little bits (from five minutes to hours long intervals) over a long time so I’m not sure how long it took me. I do know that some people are faster. NPC C wanted to try and they got their shark done a lot faster and the shark was a lot more solid than my fishie. I couldn’t get the eyes in no matter how hard and deep I stuck the needle in, but I just used the black roving and I think it looks nice. The fins took a long time and it “felt” XD like I’d never be done, but here they are!>>Tip: I went and read on the internet but when you are doing thicker pieces, the needle should hardly ever go into the felting pad. The internets also told me that most pieces end up being about 75% of the size of the original roving and that it helps to roll the piece as tight as you can in the beginning :)Materials:The fingertip gloves are pink (yes, that makes me so happy!) :) The pointer finger glove was snug on me, and I have small fingers so it may be very tight on other people (erm, my ring finger size is 4.5 on my left hand if that helps…but the glove is for an index finger, but I don’t know my size for that so…). The thumb tip glove is way loose on me so it should be fine for most people. I liked that the hardware/findings are shiny and not dull. It came with five long needles and four shorter ones. I’m so grateful for the handle! I didn’t know they could have handles :) The other two sets I completed did not have handles (the one set I didn’t complete didn’t come with handles, either). I love that the needles came in a hard plastic container so I didn’t have to worry about it poking out and getting lost and poking someone. None of the needles broke, either :) I like the plastic-foam felting pad a lot better than sponge ones.Instructions:Video: They play “Fur Elise” throughout the video. There are no commercials! Yay! If you don’t know how to put the needle in the handle, the video shows you right off the bat, along with how to wipe the rust protection oil off. There are captions on the video but no one talks. It says it’s sped up and the actual duration of the felting is six hours! Eek!Paper: I mostly used these instructions. I liked how they gave dimensions, but they didn’t tell you how much wool it would take, either. I think these are the best directions of the kits I’ve tried so far.It was a great kit and I had a lot o fun! So did NPC C! I recommend this one!P.S. I wouldn’t recommend using it as a keychain unless you glue the eye loop wire in. Sometimes mine falls out. I didn’t glue it, but I bent it in a “U-ish” shape…

I completed the octopus, it was a lot of fun. Not perfect, but I like it. I broke alot of needles in the process but the kit comes with many.

Sadly, I had to throw most of this set away. Inside, most of the wool in each bagged kit smelled strongly of mold and was actually quite nauseating to handle and use. It’s a shame because the items in the kit are really cute, and I would have loved to make all of these. But I just can’t handle the smell. But, maybe it’s just mine.Moving on to the individual kits, I was only able to start one but didn’t complete it because of the smell. But, in terms of moving through the kit instructions, it was challenging (not for beginners) but quite fun. I’m sure these all would have looked great.
