Hard to believe how important little rubber pieces can be. I replaced the parts that came in this kit and my leaks went away. I'm a pro active, problem solving kind of individual and yet I still have a problem believing that minute rubber pieces can have such an affect on plumbing pieces...........oh well, it worked.

009M2 backflow valve installed brand new 2 years ago. Had below freezing temps for 4 days. Relief valve blew - (I suspect because it froze). Didn't just "leak" but spewing a high volume of water. Given the price of the initial valve purchase, to now may $50 for a few gaskets is ridiculous. I've had enough of these companies that sell you something that breaks shortly after warranty and the repair parts greatly overpriced.

This was really an easy repair. The mos.!!!!!t important tip is to disassemble the existing RPZ and lay the gaskets and O rings out on a table / work bench in the exact order in which they were removed. Obviously, then install the new gaskets and O rings in the opposite order in which they came out.Had the RPZ tested by the required licensed plumber and it passed with flying colors. Sure beats buying a new RPZ for $400 !!!!!!
