The lamp works just fine. Very bright. Be prepared for a bit of a struggle getting it to slide into place though. It is definitely an aftermarket housing and the detail in the design is not "quite right". With that considered, in the future I would buy one directly from Mitsubishi for about $120. For the $40 difference I'd rather have it match perfectly.

We had purchased several of the $20 bulbs which would last 6 months. Went with the more expensive bulb expecting longer life. This one lasted 7 months. We watch the TV about 5 hours a day. Had to call customer service to find out the warranty is 30 day refund, 180 days replacement. Can buy 3 of the cheaper bulbs a year rather than this one and still save money.Customer service was very polite and professional on the phone.

This bulb only lasted me three weeks before it went out again. Not a good product. As of this writing, the company has not taken care of it.

Our 60" Mitsubishi DLP TV went dark, after 7+ years of service, so I researched what might the problem be and discovered a new lamp was likely the issue. A you tube video proved very helpful in demonstrating how to remove and replace the existing lamp. Further investigation revealed that purchasing a brand other than Mitsubishi or a lesser cost lamp may damage the TV. So, I ordered this particular part, removed the old lamp and installed this new lamp myself; the removal and installation was a breeze and in a matter of minutes the TV was again working and the picture was brilliant, better than I can remember. The new lamp was delivered in 2 days and packaged very well. Be sure not to touch the lamp itself as it could damage it, plus bag the old lamp and dispose of correctly--may contain or does contain mercury. Too bad when this TV starting getting the white dot syndrome, the fix was not as easy; Mitsubishi furnished the part for free but would only ship to an authorized repairmen for installation. Extremely happy with this purchase and hopefully this lamp will last as long as the factory installed lamp. The only negative was having to get down on the floor and back up again to do the repair.

Osram bulb is much brighter than the knockoff bulb. This one certainly looks to be within the proper specifications. I expect a nice long service life from this bulb.
