I am not sure what some reviewers are expecting for a $50 tailgate mat, but for me this fit was good and the value is great. I attached photos after install. The key is to take your time and follow the directions. Don't just open the box and install it, let it sit in the sun as the instructions say, then the holes will line up much better. I took a heat gun to mine and warmed it up some as I put it on, be careful if you try this because you can very easily ruin the product. I am satisfied with my tailgate liner to pair with an off-brand bed-mat.Since I only haul things laying in the bed, it makes no sense for me to get a full liner or spray-on. I never dump rocks, gravel, etc. in my bed. This has worked well for me so far.**UPDATED**So the adhesive is attached to the truck but came apart from the product. I called Weathertech but they said Amazon is not an authorized dealer. That makes no sense, I am never buying from this company again.**UPDATED 10/5/17**It is officially done, I tried my best to reattach the seal using a marine grade silicone but the liner and seal are both warped from the sunlight hitting it. I go from my garage to the sun daily and this thing changes shape. I took it off and I will be getting something else. This was a waste. It started out performing and looking well but it didn't take long before problems began and now I can do nothing to keep it in use. Please listen to all the other reviewers and don't waste your money. The product is horrible and the customer service from this company which I received was even worse.

This item seems to be a high quality product. My wife and I installed the liner on our new 2015 Silverado in about 45 minutes including cleaning the tailgate. The fastener holes lined up pretty well with the factory holes in the tailgate - not perfectly, mind you, but close enough to work with. As one reviewer suggested, we started with the center-most holes and worked outward to the edges of the liner. It also helped, I'm sure to install the liner in warm weather or a heated garage in colder temps. The design of the washers helps to align the screws with the liner and truck holes. Some reviewers have mentioned interference between the liner and the truck bed when closing the tailgate. We had to "assist" the first closure, but in the warm conditions the liner set up fine after about an hour with the tailgate closed. Subsequent closures were no problem. This liner is light enough that the spring-assisted tailgate open/close feature of the truck was not affected. Only time will tell how well this liner holds up to the wear and tear given to a truck tailgate, but considering the ease of installation and the overall fit and finish, I would recommend this product.

I am writing this review simply because I don't think other reviews gave it justice. Unlike many people that own trucks, I farm and really use a truck. In the past, I have always had heavy rubber mats on the tailgate, which I used to just short of an anvil. These were bulletproof and simple the best for the kind of work I'm in. However, I purchase a new Chevrolet truck that has the tailgate that springs slowly open. I did not want to put the heavier mat on this partly because the additional weight and partly because the mat stuck out and looked bad on this tailgate. So I decided to try this Weathertech liner.I believe this tailgate liner looks very nice and installed quite well. I did have to work the liner to assure that the holes lined up. If I would have simply thrown it on the tailgate and expect all the holes to line up, I would have been disappointed. I blame this on the material of the liner shrinking due to the climate. However, I gently worked the liner from the center holes to the outside and tightened the screws as I went. Now I will agree that the four velcro pucks seems a little weak. Time will tell if they hold up. I believe I will have to do what one of the other reviewers did and put 3M tape on the bottom edge. This should cure the problem. When I first opened the box, I thought the rolled extrusion would be the weak part of the kit. However, this tucks in a lip on the tailgate, which I believe will protect it from being pulled out while sliding things in and out of the bed.All in all, I believe this is a good product. It won't match the durability of the old rubber mat and I won't be using it as an anvil. However, it is what I expected and believe it will be a good product for the normal user.

2014 Silverado Double Cab. After looking at more details on the Weathertech website, there were no surprises. A little thinner and more 'rubbery' and definitely more grippy than the old-fashioned hard plastic lines. Exactly as you see on the website and what I was expecting. Fit was perfect...fits the contours of the tailgate. Had a nice grippy surface. Uses several of the OEM screws to secure the upper portion. Lower part secured by pre-applied velcro circles. As others have commented on the WeatherTech website and elsewhere, I was a little concerned about the low number of velcro circles. I had some leftover industrial strength velcro from a previous project, so I added a little more. Probably not really needed....but it made me feel better. Overall, I am totally satisfied with this purchase.
