I bought this for a friend thinking the quality for such a standard tool. Unfortunately several of the punches were chipped on the edges and even after adjustment they didn’t come down straight on the punch surface. Pretty disappointing as I like Weaver in general

This is a solid well built punch -- like ones i have used years ago. But ... i couldn’t get it to punch holes in a sheet of thin plastic until:Place a piece of cardboard or some thinker material under the thin thing you are trying to punch. Works fine then.I saw this complaint about most of the punches listed but this trick should work for any of them.

I found this worked well on leather belts. The punch is clean and you have a good selection of diameters.I suggest practicing on some scrap leather or paper, since it may be hard to center if you are not familiar with the product.

I had for a long time and when I couldn't find it, I ordered this one. Seems to work just as well as my old one which was at least 50 years old (when things were built to last). This one has done the few tasks that I needed for great.

I was very optimistic about this based on the reviews I read...but sadly it did not live up to expectations. This could not punch through even very thin leather--it would make a crater vs. punching a clean hole even when I used signifcant force, hold down and turn tool, etc. I had to clean out the holes with an awl and needle nose. I am going to return and order another one--and have resorted to using traditional punches in the interim. Maybe I received a defective item, but if I were you....don't buy into the "German Design" hype...I don't care where it was made/designed it it doesn't perform it primary (only function).

I bought this item in order to make a new hole in my thick leather Carhartt belt. It did the job perfectly.
