This product material is described as “fine wool” but it is actually made of polyester of some kind. In a burn test, it melts. Very disappointing.

As the description says, its “Woollen”- might have some wool mixed in, but its definitely got a plastic fabric (Rayon or Polyester) in the mix- its a slicker material-easily snagged. Had it two days and it easily gets “runners” in the fabric. There’s no nomenclature on what it’s actually made of- that’s not good. The only reason I’m giving two stars is that its a proper size.will not buy again

This scarf is not made of wool.First, there is no label which says that it is wool (the selling company protects it’s fraud).Secondly, it does not feel like wool. Thirdly, I know how to check whether it is a real wool or not - I checked - no it is not 100% wool. May be there is whatever % of wool in it, but definitely not as claimed. I am returning it with a request for a full refund.

Donnie Dust, and his excellent YouTube channel, gave me the idea to look these up. He uses them as ground cloths, rolled up as pillows, cinched up to carry firewood, bundled up with tinder inside, wrapped around himself as a warming garment, draped overhead for a piece of shade, and about a thousand other great uses.The one I received was genuine wool, was surprisingly large, and is deceptively warm without making you sweat. It's really just a great all around hunk of fabric to have around whether you're lounging on the couch, draping it over your shoulders while sitting in a camp chair, or even wearing it as a scarf.
