This thing is great. We get these nasty thorny weeds in our yard in Seattle and it’s impossible to touch them to rip them up “the old fashioned way” without hurting yourself. They hurt like heck to step on and we have pets so I imagine it hurts them too. The only thing I wish for is a spring-loaded ejection of the weed. It stays in the claws until you pull it out or drag it along the side of your bin. For the price, highly recommend and I can’t wait to get back to weeding!

So I like this product with one potential issue. It works best when the ground is wet or soft. There's no way to push the device into the ground with your foot, only using your upper body. I fixed this by purchasing a universal footpeg and mounting it above the puller so I can push it into the ground with my foot instead of using my arms and shoulders. Problem solved and still cheaper than other units that also don't have a way of stepping on them to force them into the ground.

This tool purports to be "upgraded" and "more durable", not! The first time in use, it worked fine for a short time on small weeds, the first larger weed pulled caused the stainless steel handle to bend and crease like it was made out of aluminum foil. Replaced handle with a thicker pipe and then one of the jaws broke. It might be fine for pulling dandelions out of soft turf, but is useless for anything more.

I had a wooden shaft weeding tool and the shaft splintered after 3 months of use. Figured I'd buy a metal shafted tool. It's didn't even last a month. The shaft bent where it meets the head of the tool. A tool with a strong head and a 48" shaft should be able to take the force at the fulcrum point.....otherwise it might as well be a small hand gardening tool. If your needs are extremely light duty, then give it a try otherwise I'd advise against purchase.

We recently added some new tools for our gardening that makes it easier on our backs. This is one of them. It is very easy to use and does a good job. It is designed to just dig into the soil, use your foot to clasp up the weeds. It is so much less stressful then pulling them while on my knees.It was simple to put together and the handle length is perfect. The metal it is made with seems strong enough to last us a few seasons.

The Saidrip Weed Puller tool is EXCELLENT and my new favorite gardening tool! It is heavy duty and the metal is very sturdy. And IT WORKS GREAT! I was able to get the entire root on dandelions! It was actually fun and very easy. Full disclosure it rained so the ground was softer which made it easier to pull.I don't spray poison weed killer on my lawn and I have a big yard so this tool makes me feel good that I can eliminate weeds without polluting the environment.I bought a similar tool earlier in the season, see the photo, it is so much smaller and the first one I got broke on the 3rd weed (they replaced it) and it didn't come with a handle....you can see the difference, both work but the Saidrip is FAR superior! If you don't want to weed by hand or spray poison on your weeds this tool is for you.

This is so heavy that i know i am building muscle by carrying it out to the yard. It is weighted at one end where it digs the weed out. The handle is lightweight aluminum. It is stable and works well. The part that grips the weed does not open very far. It took some getting used to. I suspect it was intentinal to reduce how much dirt is removed from the ground when gripping the weed.

Worked great th first day but started falling apart on the second day. Returned it and purchased Granpas which works great.
