The length of this weeding sickle is good for reaching areas that are thicker with overgrown weeds and not having to step into them. It has a strong enough blade to cut through thicker bushes with good cutting edge. The curve of the blade with the serrated edge will hang up on vines so you have to take some extra swings to clear an area with this type of brush.

Love the length and adjustability. Good weight, easy to handle. Serves its purpose. Cheaper than another I had previously ordered with more options in regards to length

This was really easy to put together and break down again, which is nice. Comes with a protector for the blade too so you can store it or travel. It works just fine for what I needed it for, but when I tested it out with a neighbor in his rougher yard, I had some issues. With small and thin grass, it didn't work that great because it would cause the vegetation to bend over. It cut some, but it didn't really get them all in one pass, it just wasn't sharp enough. With medium weeds, like the kind that is pretty solid but not really woody, it is PERFECT. This thing cuts through those types of large weeds that grow beyond your property line or in the ditches, it cuts them fantastic. It is sharp enough and serrated that it digs in a bit, and then with a little pull it slices right through them with little effort -- very good. It is perfect for mullen and that thorny thistle that grows tall. Very very good for that! Very impressed. With larger weeds that might be more woody, it can cut through those without much effort, but it does stick a little on the woodier ones and you might have to push back out and pull back hard. It's not perfect, but it is good enough for a spot weeding, but I wouldn't want to use for clearing an entire area. Thus, I call it the Goldilocks of weeding! And you really will usually have mostly the medium sized weeds, I know that is about 75% of what I have, so this does a fine, fine job. But because I struggled with grass or woodier ones, I wouldn't say it is a perfect 5 star product. But definitely a solid 4, and I would purchase it again if needed and would recommend it to others.

I bought this product to cut down weeds and grass. I thought a sickel could easily tackle this problem. This sickeldid not do the job. My shears did a better job. I may return this product if it is not worth the effort! Save your money and buy a shears.

Used it to chop down some 6' tall weeds, it worked like a charm. It's in a few parts that get screwed into each other to form the handle. It was fairly sharp when it got here, and after a couple hours of use, it's still pretty sharp.

Helpful cutting down my hosts and plants. Glad I bought it.It is study and will hold up. It is in four section and they come unscrewed. Use loctite or Teflon tape on the threads.Overall, glad I bought it.

I try to go as technology free as I can on my homestead and love using sickles so I took the opportunity to try this one. For very light weight grass and weeds it worked fairly well but it couldn't handle the thicker weeds or even very thin saplings. I'm okay with it but not in love by any means and will be looking for a more heavy duty model to be my main blade.

I live on some acreage and big towering weeds tend to sprout next to my lawn. With this thing I just walk along the border and with a quick jerk of the arm fell these thick-stalked nuisances with ease.
