The soldering iron only came with a circular / pointy tip, so having one with flat sides makes it much more versatile. Its a great little soldering iron for which I now have the most convenient shaped tip.

I got this to for soldiering wires to R/C motor tabs since the pointed one that the soldering iron can with want ideal. A expected, this one worked much better for what I needed. I've used it over 20 times and have had no issues.
