The diffuser itself was good, but the assembly frame wasn’t the best quality. The instructions were also unclear, which made the setup take longer than expected. I wouldn’t recommend assembling it right before a shoot. It would also be helpful to include instructions on attaching the diffuser while assembling the frame. Based on the quality I would imagine this would be more economical.

Just a quick note, I am a freelance videographer that works with diffusion frames several times a week both in studio and on exterior shoots.This frame was hopefully going to be my “cheap travel” frame diffusion when I don’t want to bring the more heavy and professional equipment on planes. Big mistake.ASSEMBLY - Looking at a photo it’s not difficult to assemble and we got it done in about 5 minutes.UNSAFE DESIGN - The way the frame is held onto the base is each side has 1.5” of the tube in a super thin metal clamp. The first problem we had was a gentle breeze bent and broke the vertical tubes out of the base clamps. We fixed it and then added a 8lb sandbag to each side to avoid it falling over. Instantly we noticed the cheap caster wheels bent sideways.To clarify, the frame is made of cheap tubing and didn’t last more than 10 minutes. We had to have my First AC physically hold the frame and diffusion fabric up by hand without the base attached. Luckily we only needed the frame for this 1-hour pool scene outdoors during this multi-day shoot.In conclusion, do not waste $250-$300 on this product. This really should be $50 for just the frame and fabric without the unsafe and flimsy base/stand. At least then the price would reflect more of what you’re receiving.

I've used this diffusion frame on several outdoor shoots without any issues. The frame is sturdy and the design is practical, even in windy conditions. Adding sandbags as a precaution is standard practice for outdoor setups.

Compared to similar products this is a steel. The assembly takes some time but it’s sturdy and well made.
