Purchased for someone who had a stroke which resulted in left side weakness. Her left foot and ankle doesn't have as much mobility as it use to so it's prone to twisting.We purchase this to keep her ankle straight and stable.It fits well, comfortable and not bulky in the shoe. Almost not noticable.We also like that to tighten and to loosen the brace, you just pull the circle in the middle.

I will give this brace 2 stars for its mechanical design, material quality, and the fitting design, but unfortunately the maximum performance as stated by the manufacturer falls completely short as a MAXIMUM supportive ankle brace.I wouldn’t recommend this brace for any activity other than for use around the house, or if you’re desiring some support while sleeping.I would not recommend this brace for strenuous activities or exercises, as I myself didn’t even trust walking up and down my stairs. The side metal support springs are flimsy and flexible, which does not provide the proper ankle support performance as they state for maximum support.Lastly, and though this may be due to the overpronation of my feet, the part of the brace that is on the bottom of my foot is quite uncomfortable because it “digs” into my arch. Though with that being said I would still use for around the house and support while sleeping. But because I am in search of a brace with maximum stabilizing side support for work purposes, and day-to-day activities I did return.

This looked like the perfect thing for a twisted ankle, to help stabilize it and provide extra support. This BOA fastening system is a great idea, but doesn’t work that well. The brace easily slips on over your foot, and leaves the heel exposed. Once you start tightening the brace with the BOA knob, it gets tight up around the knob, but I can’t get it tight over the rest of the foot. There is a strap underneath the foot that can be used to provide additional support, but it primarily only tightens around the instep. So the top and bottom of the brace are tight, but not the middle, where you need it most around the ankles. My shoe did fit comfortably over the brace. The worst thing is it is impossible to loosen and get off your foot. You literally have to loosen each wire, similar to how you would loosen laces on tennis shoes. I actually got claustrophobic at one point, and thought I was going to have to cut it off. Overall, if you are looking for a little extra support, this might work for you. But if you need good ankle support, this probably is not what you want.

Rolled my ankle and needed serious support. This brace did the trick. It was comfortable and provided all of the support I needed. I didn’t even need to miss work. Definitely worth the price.

my left ankle thanks this brace. the heat therapy helps a lot when my ankle is bothering me. it feels well and doesn't bother me wearing it. the price was pretty good compared to getting something at the store.
