The paints are too thick and need to be thinned, which makes the numbers harder to cover. I wish they would just send extra paints, instead of needing to return whole thing.

I like that it's already in the canvas frame but it does make some spots hard to paint because of the pattern is on the edges. The paint is ok, but the brushes are really poor quality.

This kit comes with everything you need to complete the project, although I would suggest a few smaller brushes. The paints were in good shape in this, none were dried out. The canvas is easy to read, although there are quite a few tiny spaces in this one. It might be harder on someone with eye issues. Otherwise it is a pretty straightforward pattern. The end product is cute. It would make a nice homemade gift. You can see the lines and numbers through the lightest colors, but you really have to be close to see them. It took me 3 hours to complete.

Disclaimer not a kid, but when one needs a paint by number project to complete in a day while doing their other responsibilities this is a great project. I also liked that the colors on the canvas seemed to help the paint not be such a re-coat issue when it came to completing the project. As I am always looking for side distraction projects this is certainly a win, especially on a rainy or snowy day. We also trade hand made gifts for the holidays so bonus!

This paint by numbers kit is very easy and reasonable to do! Comes with everything you need to finish off a beautiful Elephant painting! The key code is easy to read and this would make a great gift for any kids above 5. The canvas takes the paint in really nice as well and it comes with an easel for display. I would definitely purchase this one again! I hope you find this review helpful!

I ordered this kit because, although I am an experienced pbn worker, I like hummingbirds and feel like experiencing something easy for a change. This kit is easy - just the thing to get someone started in pbn - however, I did not use it for that. The finished product will hang in my "nature" stairwell.....
