It does a great job only thing I would recommend is to have a good shop vac with some extra filters to change out as you are sanding. Change and clean often if not you will become a snowman when you stop sanding. But often wise it worked great left about two inches of popcorn around perimeter of the room that you have to do by hand. Mine was not painted so it was easy from what I saw and heard it’s a lot more work to do if it has been painted.

My particular one worked well on wall, but turned over to remove popcorn ceiling it would shut off. Might be a defective switch, but also Heavy to use for ceiling

If you've ever had to sand drywall mud with a hand sander, then you know the mess, the agony, and the...well, did I mention mess.This thing was the best money we spent on remodeling our basement. Hook this beauty up to your shop vac, slap on a sandpaper disc, turn them both on, and go. It was so awesome, we already have neighbors asking to borrow it.
