I love these! I have them everywhere. Whether your opening a bag or a box, this will do it. And you don't accidentally cut yourself or your object your unwrapping. Everyone thought i would cut myself, but you cant it great & safe and very reasonably priced.

I have been pretty impressed with this product I like the fact that you can extract the blade or lock it in place in the out position. Unlike a regular razor blade, it will not cut your skin with any kind of normal pressure. But it sure opens packages and cuts box as well. I have other standard box cutters, and they’re better for really thick cardboard, but this one is really good for package opening and cutting thinner cardboard. I haven’t had this very long so we’ll see how it holds up. The advertisement says the blade will last 10 times as long as a normal steel blade. I suspect that is true because ceramic is harder than steel anyways. But as always time will tell. At this point, I give it five stars.

I’ve been using this thing on everything! I’ve used it to open all of my packages, cutting tape, I’ve even used it to rip open pet food. The tip doesn’t look like it would be sharp, but it works incredibly well. I’m glad it also came with a safety switch so if my 5 year old gets ahold of it she doesn’t accidentally get hurt. Less than $10 and I love it!

This little guy is cool. It's very light and almost feels fragile because of it but it's actually pretty sturdy. It made quick work of opening some boxes.I like that it has both a blade lock and that the blade can't easily cut skin like a metal box cutter. That makes me feel a lot safer with having children in the house.

I have a couple other box cutters from Westcott and I thought I'd try this one to see which is the best. It wasn't this one. In my opinion, this cutter has a very specific function, and it absolutely shines in that application, but is not as versatile for other cutting motions. The finger loop is extremely ergonomic and comfortable and shields your finger from contact with the box. I love it. But this box cutter is designed for people who are cutting cardboard boxes in a straight line down toward themselves. The finger loop does not facilitate turning the hand and cutting to either the left or the right such as cutting the seams on a box from above or the side. There is a safety lock on here to prevent the blade from opening or closing, which is a pretty cool feature. For people who are repetitively making straight cuts toward themselves on a flat plane, this box cutter will be the best cutter ever. For people who cut in many different directions on a 3D box for example, this box cutter will require turning your item or using it without your finger in the loop.

Very nifty product for opening boxes. Especially if you have cute little grabby hands around! Very safe.
