Very nice! Great color and played well right out of the box. The pickups look great and sound like hot ceramics. No complaints.

Came setup quite well. Action about 1.3mm, slightest amount of relief as possible without being totally flat, and no string buzzing. Nut is cut very well (perfect slot heights) without any nut-related tuning issues. Tuners are smooth and seem to hold tune well. Bridge pickup is hot at 16.4k and neck is 9k. At high-gain, I didn't detect any microphonics. The frets are mostly level. I did get a fret rocker to detect a few high frets, but they're not high enough to create any issues at 1.3mm action, so I left them alone. The only thing I did to this guitar was polish the frets, which were all a little gritty, which can be expected in a budget guitar. I do not plan on modding this guitar. For me, it will totally meet my needs 100% stock. Lastly, I have the metallic blue finish and it is free of flaws. West Creek pretty much nailed it with my instrument. Good job West Creek Guitars!

I love the design of the guitar I just wish that the body was larger. I'm a tall guy and it just didn't work out for me so I had to send it back.

Westcreek's Mirage is a stylized tribute to a Gibson FB, I have the Westcreek 333 hollow body which is excellent, so I took a chance on the Mirage, about $90 CDN more, blue sparkle finish black hardware, it's just as good in real life as the photos. The guitar is 2 in shorter than the FB and 2 lb lighter, so much less neck dive than the FB, and less broken drywall. It lacks the stylized headstock and the rounded upper bouts of the FB. It's less archaic than the FB, more George Jetson. It's shipped in a secure foam cocoon, but no gig bag, WILL FIT in one, major bonus. The pickups Are low output, a little thin on bottom, middle setting is a bit quacky, it really feels like an FB in that the strap pin is at the 21st fret rather than 16th, that neck is way out there! Love it! The only flaw on mine is that the pickguard was installed too low, that's something I can fix. I'm so hot on Westcreek guitars, in my dreams they send me their newest model to review. Only offered in North America, not Britain, Germany, Japan! The black and orange ones too radical for me. Hey you want something different, here it is. 😃
