A lot of folks mentioned a smell, and there is an obvious aroma when you take them out - some people said plant/skunk/ herbal smell...seems like it's the rubber in some way.These are really bright pink and made for the rain! The size chart did help, but I'd say they fit a little longer than what it says. Easy on/off, they also have a thick sole, with conscious attention to the wearer.A little flair with the pulls, they aren't too sharp at all. Lastly, none of the images show it, but there's a bright neon green brand tab on the back/heel counter. not a biggie, but might be for you. Does feel a little redundant since there's one also at the front of the shaft.While these are of good quality, they could use a discount lol.

The Western Chief girls' pull-on rain boots in hot pink are bright, durable, and perfect for rainy days. The vibrant hot pink color is eye-catching and fun, making them a favorite for little girls. These boots are incredible. They are such high-quality and made to last. They run true to size and I wish I could have them in my own size. My daughter is very happy splashing in the puddles with them. Comfortable and good fit.

These are about what I expect from Western Chief for a rain boot. These are bonded to a canvas-like fabric "liner" inside (not removable). The rubber is smooth and very easy to rinse clean, but it does come with a noticeable vinyl chemical odor. The tread is fairly aggressive, for added traction. The pull on loops are riveted to the boot for added durability and longevity. These definitely help kids put the boots on easier. However, I do wish the loops were a little thicker; I can picture them breaking with repeated use (which I've experienced with kids Western Chief boots before, however those were not riveted). We ordered size 12 little kid, and I can confirm, that is on scale with what you might expect from a "12 Toddler" (I've found that toddler sizes seem to end around 9 or 10, with a smooth transition to little kid 11 & 12, despite the name change). These do have an added insole with some, but minimal shock absorption, however, it's better than previous insoles I've seen from Western Chief. The insole it is glued in though, and has zero arch support. All that said, I will reiterate, these are about what I expected for a rain boot from Western Chief, these are pretty basic, but they do their job, they clean up easy, and they look fun too!

These are a great size and are very true to size! They are smaller than similar style boots of the "correct" size -- most rubber boots are too big. They are very much waterproof! They are the normal weight of what you would expect. My daughter loves wearing these, even more than her pink sparkly light-up rain boots!

My daughter loves these boots. They are great for rain and snow and go on easy when you need to get outside. They are true to size and a good shape for her feet. They could use a bit more padding - but what boots don't? Overall, they are good quality and nice for the money. Definitely recommend.

UPDATE: Even after sitting outside over 48 hours and through a rain, these still smell like a plant/skunk. It’s terrible and these can’t be worn. There was also a little piece of plastic that came off in my little one’s hands which is a safety concern(pictured). Reducing to 3 stars.I love so much about these. The color is exactly as pictured. The handles are both fun patterns but also give traction to pull on. The grips on the bottom look like they should grip on wet pavement with ease. And perhaps my favorite thing is helping kids to independently put their boots on in a fun way. (See pictures). Your child just needs to make a star with the inserts to put the boots on the proper foot. What a fun and engaging way to aid kids in independently drsssing!Now for the reason I took off a star 1) these came in a clear plastic bag. There was no box. These could not be gifted to your child or stored in the box for future use/future children. There was a single piece of tissue paper was all and cardboard inside the boots that was crushed. 2) The chemical smell was awful. They smell like a plant/skunk. After they arrived, I left them sit out for 12 hours. No change in smell. I may need to try airing them outside and see if that helps at all. At the time of writing this, we have not been able to wear them because of the strong odor. Honestly, I wouldn’t pay $5 for these boots with the way they smell. Hopefully this is not common as I’ve seen this brand in stores and never noticed a smell.However, smell aside, these look like a solid pair of boots. I sincerely hope the smell dissipates before rain later this week.
