Horrible product - do not buy! First of all, all the bolts snapped. I am not some ridiculously strong girl nor am I an idiot who has never tightened a bolt. They were not threaded to match, so each one got to a point where they just turned instead of tightened. And to make it even better? They are silver instead of black (despite instructions saying "black bolts"), so the one bolt that remains needs to be painted.I've now had the grille on for almost a month. There are faded marks all over the front of it. It appears there were some grains in the paint and they tried to buff them out... except they didn't, waxed over it, and now I have a grille that looks black and gray all over.Again, do not buy, it's not worth it!

Just for looks. Will not take any pushing or pulling. Trust Beami not welded on just bolted on. I sent it back for a one piece push guard.

The installation is really pretty easy if you completely read and understand the installation guide. The guide itself could be a lot better, but you can understand the proper way to install this great looking bar.I took the advice from other reviews to buy heavy duty bolts at the auto supply store. If you have a torque wrench, use it! If not, you can rent one. I bought one at Lowes for a very small investment since my son does a lot of work himself and since he was doing most of the installation for me, I just gave it to him. It is mounted stronger that way and will definitely adds protection to the grill and results in a great look. I could easily have done it by myself, but at 62 and arthritis, I needed help. It will take two people to hold it in place and correct level.I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma so there was no need to worry about the license plate location with this product.I would recommend this product to anyone who needs some protection that also looks so good when done. You can expect some light surface scratches, but remember that it's going to get scratched anyway.

The build on this product is good. Why would Westin build a good product then put the worst bolts in the order. The bolts included were so bad they would not tighten up enough to hold the bar in place. When I tried to back the bolts off they were galded and would not come apart. I had to break them in order to get them off. I went to a bolt dealer here and bought new bolts. If you buy this product, don't try to use the bolts that come with it. You will have about an hour job breaking them off. I can't understand making a good product and to save a few dollars puting those cheap Chinese bolts in.Sorry for the review Westin, you should wise up.

Just had this bad boy installed on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab. Due to the discrepancies in whether the skid plate could be left in place or not (I wanted it on there) I had the dealership put it on. No problems with it fitting.I was going to head to Lowe's to get better bolts, etc. as suggested by other reviewers, but apparently the cheap hardware previously included with this product has been upgraded. Grade 8 all around. This thing is built solid & I love the looks. Seems like you can't get any better than this. Don't pull out in front of me, I'm not slowing down.***UPDATE 6.12.14***I still love the way this bar looks, but the stainless is quite rusty now. I live in Colorado, where there is no shortage of mag-ox on the roads in the winter, but I do try & spray it all off after the sun pops out again. I doubt this is the true cause of it, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt. It is probably just inherent in the stainless. The only question I have now is how do I get rid of the rust? Gonna look on Amazon now for some rust remover.

Got my bull bar today and it looks great on my Tacoma. Ordered it on Sunday using standard delivery (3-5 days) and got it in two days! That was awesome! It's definitely a little tricky to install. My 2013 Tacoma did not have a whole lot of room to access the bumper nuts. The bar and brackets are beefy but the hardware is cheap junk. The instructions said to use 17 lbs of torque on the bolts that mount the bar to the brackets. I had my wrench set to 15 lbs and I snapped all four bolts (which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5). Had to run out to Lowes and get some good quality stainless bolts. Overall, it's a great price and a great product. If you're thinking about buying one,I say DO IT!!

Installed on my black tacoma, the bar looks great! but apart from being a place where i can mount some off-road lights (KC-631's)looking great is about all this bull bar does. i had imagined that the bar's construction would be heavy enough to not be damaged if you lightly bumped a parking post or maybe pushed a car stuck in snow, the tubing is not very substantial and im sure would be easily damaged if used in such a way. the mounting brackets were hefty and were a perfect fit... the nuts and bolts how-ever were a joke... I tightened these bolts until i was sure they would fail and the bull bar was still easy to move... so i drove my truck with the not quite installed bar to the hardware store and bought some real grade 8 nuts bolts and washers. as i was replacing the old hardware i broke three bolts because i had over tightened them... if you order this bar throw away the included hardware and buy good grade 8 bolts, NOT the two long bolts that go through your frame they are fine.. find bolts that will barely fit in the holes on the brackets and corresponding holes on the bar and you will be good to go. the powder coat is really easy to scratch so have a towel down when you have to rest the bar on the ground as your installing.. hope this helps!

I really like this bull bar i installed on my 06 tacoma. the installation was really simply took me about half hour to 45 mins. The only issue i have with the bar is that the paint chips very easy this winter season has been hard on it. It looks like im going to have to repaint it this summer, maybe using a chip guard paint so i dont have to go through this every year.
