After much disappointment with trying loads of LED (all-in-one) picture lights, this Westinghouse product finally gave us the look we wanted. Unlike the LEDs mentioned above, this product provides a traditional picture light...with the bulb hidden from sight well inside the brass housing. (My issue with the LED's was that the light not only lit up the artwork...but also shined back into the room and the eyes of the viewer. That said, this Westinghouse fixture has one issue which is that the only bulb that works is the one provided by Westinghouse (T6 incandescent bulb). We tried various T6 LED bulbs and they're all to large (to thick) for the slimline brass housing of the fixture.

I have quite a few picture lights in my house. I needed a smaller one for some photos on a bookshelf. These are great. High quality, easy to install, and look great.

Works for my framed album. Looks great. The only dislike, unfortunately, is that the light cover doesn’t rotate/ bevel downward. But, overall the light works for my application. Be careful though, the original bulb gets melt-your-face-off-lava-hot. I changed it out with a lower wattage which puts It now in the 1st-degree-crisp-your-phalanges-to-burnt-ends rating.

This light hangs over a gorgeous vertical chess board and illuminates the wooden frame and pieces perfectly.

These fixtures can be very expensive but this one is not only affordable it looks and performs perfectly. I did not want cold LED lighting so this option was just what I was looking for. It comes with a bulb. I keep it on all the time! It barely radiates heat and brass gets warm but it's touchable. I was worried about the bulb being visible. I am short and it's not a problem from my view. The switch is near the outlet but that works perfect as I wedged it on top of the coffee table under the art. A short extension chord could fix that. Ordered some extra bulbs that were recommended to buy with it. Illuminated art really makes a room beautiful and it stands out. No complaints.

I love the concept but this doesn’t work on all frames. I made it work and as a result my frame cracked but it’s on the back of the frame. I bet Thomas Kinkade is flipping in his grave! I could only use one screw to secure this to the picture frame. With a lot of bending, ( the bracket that secures to the picture frame) I got the perfect tilt so the light is on the picture. It looks like a winner once the picture is hung. The item itself feels flimsy AF but once it’s all together looks great. I tacked mine to the frame with the appropriate tacks and then down the wall to the fireplace mantle so it looks amazing. You can paint your cord the same color as the wall and it won’t catch the eye or put a tall item on the mantle in front of the cord. I would buy it again only because I made it work so the end result is adequate however this is a rather flimsy item and should cost half of what it does. If it lasts, it’s worth the cost. There is no remote but if you get the right tilt, the lighting is ok for a 24x20 picture but there’s no dimmer switch. I chose this one bc the bulb is replaceable and this is a low watt electric light with a switch on the cord otherwise I would have gotten the larger light. (Probably should have) I had a battery operated, remote controlled picture light and it was junk and sucked the life out of batteries and died too soon. If you have a regular picture, this is probably good enough. If you have a Thomas Kinkade, it’s not good enough. It doesn’t bring out all the beauty and detail the painting has to offer. It is definitely better than nothing all said.

This is an inexpensive and really great way to illuminate a framed work of art. The amount of light it casts is perfect, and it adds punctuation to a great piece of art that would typically be in the dark at night. I would not use this for anything bigger than 2' X 3' (portrait orientation). This light doesn't have enough wattage and spread to cover anything larger than that. Typically, the rule of thumb for picture lights is that you want the width of the picture light to be approximately half the width of the picture you're trying to illuminate. I'm so happy with this product, that I'm going to purchase the 14" Westinghouse picture light for a large photograph as well.....it's a different finish, but I think I can put some stain on it to make it looked like the antique brass finish. I like the bulbs for these better than the LED lights, which look odd to me. For the price, you can't do better.
