This is a great quality, little music box. It is smaller than expected so read the description carefully. The mechanism is not covered so you're able to view exactly how the music box works while enjoying the clear music. The box is nicely finished and well built.

Nice, well made little box. I think it might even be real wood?The music however,... Canon in D sounds like dogs trying to sing the Star Spangled Banner ..A good laugh!!There is no switch. wind it up, let go of the winding key, and it plays for 30 seconds or so. sounds like -Plink. Plink, Plink. one note at a time - The "Godfather theme" music box for less $ sounds much better and truer to the music than this one. OH Well, a nice toy.

I bought this music box for my wife. She adores it so much she has to play it at least once each day, and sometimes several times. The sound quality is excellent. The wood box is well constructed and the top is carved exquisitely. I do not think you can beat the quality for the money. It would also be a great gift for a tween or teen girl.
