Sponge isn't much - cheap and thin, but tweezers work well with tiles even those cut to irregular shapes. Pick and spatula are handy to have around; I don't use them much, but when needed they are quite handy to have available. The spreaders are plastic as expected and seem quite usable although too small for anything much larger than a coaster. Instead of these spreaders I picked up a small (6 inch) squeegee at Lowe's which works very well to pull excess grout off of my mosaics. NO CLUE as to why the value for Adhesion was listed as part of the review as no glue or other adhesive was included in the kit.

Awesome set. The sponge is obviously sort of pointless and the spatulas are so-so, but the different metal tools have all come in very handy for not only my mosaic work but plenty of other household projects as well. But be careful with the pointy dental scraper style one, though, because it is really friggin sharp!
