I ran into that issue, where I couldn't transfer my existing gear cluster because it didn't fit. And unless it's clearly defective, the seller return policy is that you pay for return shipping. I ended up buying from a different seller without such an onerous return policy.

Purchased to restore a mid 90s MTB, I opted to replace the whole rear wheel after the freewheel was stuck. The QR axle provided was not the length I needed so I used my original parts. It looks nearly identical to the 30 year old front wheel. I have the OEM size 26x1.95 tire on it.

The only Complaint I have is there was no rim liner on the wheel to protect the innertube from the spokes.

The neighbor kid trashed his bike wheel. I am the family bike mechanic and so I set out to look for a replacement. I found this wheel. The hub spacing was what I needed so I ordered it. Appears to be a quality rim and hub. Wheel was true out of the box. As others have commented the hubs needed to be adjusted. Bearings were too tight. I have cone wrenches, and this was a 15-minute fix. Hub bearings felt quite smooth after adjustment. A great value for a replacement or minor upgrade.

You need to check the bearing tightness. The nuts at the end were really hard to loosen. I needed 2 large 17mm wrenches and thought I was going to snap something. Once you loosen the nuts, then loosen the inner cones a little. Use a wrench on the cone and lock nut and tighten, then do the other side. I think the cones are 15mm, I didn't need a thin cone wrench because of the setup they used. Wheel was trued well enough but made it perfect. It came in a box big enough for 2 wheels so it rolled around in the box. The packaging is not good. Look for dents and trueness. Name brand rim, hub unknown but quality OK.

Was a perfect fit and replacement for my 26" wheel with a 7-speed Shimano free-wheel. You do need to check bearing adjustment. Mine was too tight and needed to be loosened slightly. Also you will need a rim strip to protect the tube. Other that that, this seems to be a good wheel.

I purchased this wheel as a replacement for a damaged wheel on my wife's old Schwinn MTB. This wheel is by far nicer than expected. Definitely worth the money.
