Unlike a non-Whirlpool brand filter, this one fits our Whirlpool dryer perfectly. The 3rd party look-alike filter that claimed compatibility with our dryer model number, which I tried first, was too big top-to-bottom and wouldn't snap into the dryer, making it useless.

I needed a lint trap for Whirlpool Dryer model LDR3822PQ1. I tried one of the cheaper remakes and it didn't fit well. Additionally the rivets were not crimped over and the spring clips could fall out easily.This one fit well and has the same style rivets as the original. I think it will last longer than the imitations, but Whirlpool sure saved every penny they could with these lint traps.

OTHER COMPANY TOOK MY MONEY AND RAN---NEVER GOT THE ORDER. ***AFTER THE FIRST COMPANY SHAFTED ME FOR MY MONEY--I WENT BACK AND ORDERED FROM CASHWELL APPLIANCE. VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY RIGHT FROM THIS VERY 1ST ORDER I PLACED. DON'T BUY THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCT FROM ANY OTHER COMPANY ON AMAZON. Even though my old washer and dryer was not on the list of matches I ordered this and it fit perfectly. The old one had one of the clips broken off and the new one seems to be better than that old one. I would recommend this type for any older model.
