Ordered this item in April (2020). Received it last week (August 2020) after receiving a credit for being lost in transit. What happens now?Let me tell you that these elastics are garbage. I am making safety masks for my family and these elastics will not last a month. No strength to the elastic, They said Heavy Elastic!!! Cheap Cheap. Please do not order from this Company again.Had to buy better elastics.Thank You.Lise Berndt

The elastic is needed for a charity project regarding COVID 19 - it took a long time to arrive; but not too late.It is good quality - good purchase.

Bought this to make face masks for friends & family (not medical grade). This Chinese company shipped the elastic faster than any other seller during the height of the global pandemic. I noticed some racist comments in some of the reviews about them and some buyers claimed the elastic was “dirty” or “unravelled when laundered.” Those comments should be disregarded IMHO. I did not have any of those issues at all. I have been a seamstress for 50-plus years and the quality is typical and perfectly acceptable for mask-making, crafts, and making apparel. It arrived clean, odor free and in good time.

I am making masks for nurses, medical workers, family and friends. I ran out of elastic and could not locate any in stores or online. When I checked on Amazon, they did have some available, but most could not be shipped until June or July. This particular item was available to ship within a week. As I still have many masks to make and ship I needed some immediately so I ordered this elastic. It came almost 5 days earlier than expected, but the quality is not the same of the elastic I have purchased in JoAnn's; it has much more stretch and doesn't appear to be as durable. But, saying that, I do believe that overall it will work for my masks.

I bought this elastic on sale during Amazon Prime Day to use for mask making. This product was not as sturdy or dense as elastic I have purchased at craft stores. It seems to be a more loosely stitched elastic which allows more stretch. My craft store elastic can "stand" upright when I hold a few inches whereas this elastic is very floppy. My immediate impression was that it was a cheaper, inferior product. I was disappointed but I got what I paid for.I'm not sure how it will hold up under multiple washings. I suspect it would not do well over time.That said, when I used it for masks, I was not overly concerned about quality. Surprisingly, the cheaper elastic was kinder and softer on my ears. I could use less elastic because the stretch was greater than my craft store version.I don't think I would use this product for quality handmade items. I would use this product for crafts, dolls clothes, masks, etc.

I've seen some reviews where they may have received a bad batch but the roll that I received looks fine. The material is not as thick and rough as the small 8yd spools you would find at most craft stores but this is great because it's actually just as stretchy but has a softer feel which is what is wanted if you are looking to use this as earloops on homemade face masks. I sew on a commercial Juki machine but this will still work great for sewing on any home machine as well. I think it's a great value and perfect for masks if you are looking to purchase this material for that.

When I ordered, there were no reviews for this product but I decided to take a leap of faith because I need to make fabric face masks. Everything is exactly as described for the 1/4" white elastic. When I ordered the elastic there was a 3 week delivery window for the product. There was some confusion for me when I received an email telling me that the product had arrived, but the arrival was only in the US and not at my receiving address. Small and irrelevant confusion. The package arrived by US mail yesterday, only 7 days into the delivery window. It was a small, secure, sturdy box and included a free tape measure. I have not used the elastic yet. It stretches and returns to original length and is a nice white color. The elastic is uniform in construction and well wrapped on a spool that is 11cm tall (about 2 5/8 inches). Not able to assess the durability or washability at this point. I am quickly writing this review because the need for masks in this country is great and I need to get to work stitching them for my family and friends to help keep us all well. I see no reason to avoid products from China where there are people just like us trying to make a living providing products that help solve the problems we currently struggle with.

Very poor place of origin packaging. Spool of elastic unraveled when I took it out of the package. Still trying to untangle it. But I wanted it to sew face masks and it is very good quality for that. I was impatient in receiving it but the quality is good for face masks. May order again if this pandemic continues into the fall as I will need to make more masks for family.

I bought this to make doll clothes for my business Small World Creatives. I ended up using most of it to make cloth fave masks bc of the COVID 19 outbreak. The elastic is durable and comfortable around my ears, and it works well as waistband material in my doll clothes. It doesn't unravel easily and holds up well in the washer. Be careful not to iron it though. Most elastics cant withstand very high temperatures. This is a great value!
