For proper operation, mechanical wood models require an application of a wax coating to reduce friction on moving parts that contact each other. Although most model kits contain a small piece of was for this purpose, it is never enough, so I found this to be a suitable and inexpensive additional source for wax.

These are tiny and don't last long. They also dripped. For $10. you can find something better here.Don't waste you money.
