Who had a Lennox heater with a broken control board, but is now enjoying the heat with the snow outside?Yup, this guy!!!Easy switch out in under 15 minutes! Most difficult part was screwing the board in with the included self tapping screws. Yeah, the easy part was the hardest!!!Pull the trigger on this one!

The OEM board of my Lennox G40UH Lasted 15 years. I replaced it with this item about 3 years ago. It's failing now (limit switch open) after working perfectly fine through Midwest 2 winters.

My heater is a Lennox G40UH-36A-070X-03 Product was as described, shipping was timely and well packaged. This product looks different because of a plastic covering, that aside the only other main difference is the new board comes with 4 toggle switches instead of two, My advice would be to set up the toggles the same as your old one. My problem was the unit would initiate, would fire up and shortly after it would shut off. My old circuit board was giving an open circuit fault which was showing up as a high temperature of the limit switch. it took me a while to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem. Upon removing of the used circuit board I noticed the pin to the limit switch had become corroded and the tin had crumbled off therefor causing a faulty contact and consequently causing the furnace to shut off and not ignite. Take pictures of the wiring and communication cables and you will install it 10 minutes, depending on how your old board is mounted will determine the tools needed, use caution and make sure you turn the power off.

It is a better more stable component than the original. The price for this same board is all over the place so these are well priced.

The advertisement stated that this unit was the right part for my unit. It was not. I attempted to contact the seller to inform them of the problem, and could not do so. I wasted my money with them, and finally had, in the middle of the coldest winter we've had, to spend the demanded fortune for replacement part and installation, locally.

I contacted a A/C company about this item to have them change it out for me, as i really didn’t want to bother with it, but when they came back with a price of $488 to swap out the board with the part. I told them I had taken care of it, since it had been 4 days since i’d ask. Only to end up doing research on White Rogers web site to see if the 50A65-121-07 had a cross reference replacement part. Once i found the 50A65-843 was the direct replacement I order the part and 2 days later with standard shipping my board was received. Installation was pretty straight forward, If you can take a picture of the board before replacing it. It helps to reference, just in case. Otherwise it’s a disconnect from one board and transfer the wire to the new board, took about 15 minutes. You will need to drill mounting holes for the board, but this is pretty simple. Don’t believe any of the other answers in the questions about this product that say it doesn’t work for the 50A65. I saw several answer by A/C people that to be honest, is just to cause you to doubt you could do this yourself. So if you’ve had an AC company out and they quote you some outrageous sum of money for this and you have a minimum of experience changing out wires. Go for it.

Worked perfectly, holes lined up, and is a much neater looking package than OEM, with a better price. Happy I found this

Our Lennox AC blower quit working. I did some further tests and bypassed the blower motor and it worked so I knew it was the control board. This White Rodgers control board works seamlessly. It pretty much is plug and play. I suggest just removing the circuit board from the plastic housing and fits like a glove . Shut off AC breaker, unplug 120 plug in attic leading to unit, wear a static wrist band for good measure and just unplug each wire and insert on new board in same location. Easy peezy. Works like a charge with a decent price.

I'm a DIYer and HVAC is not my trade, but with minimal electrical knowledge this was an easy installation.Swapped in the unit for a failing Lennox G51MP SureLight controller. The footprint of the universal controller was slightly smaller than the manufacturer's controller. The wiring was almost a direct match, with the exception of the manual blower wire, which had a dedicated energized post on the old controller but became a parked wire on the new (due to differences with how the manual "fan on mode" is handled). The board has a plastic shell which makes the unit feel durable. All terminals are clearly marked and easy to access. I can't speak for the reliability yet as the unit has only been in place for one day, but the controller has been on frequently throughout the night due to record low temperatures and has performed flawlessly so far.Key items for the install are:Requires a silicon nitride igniterAbility to read the wiring diagram of the old and the new controller and understand the function of each wire for the spade terminals (recommend labeling the wires before disconnecting and take pictures before starting)Safety awareness with electricity (turn the breaker off during the install)Safety awareness with natural/LP gas (turn the supply valve off during the install)A 1/8" metal drill bit and drill for the mounting holesA slotted screwdriverNeedle nose pliers are helpful for connecting and disconnecting the spade terminal wiresCable ties are helpful to tidy up the install if you have to cut any existing ties to rearrange wires.I was so impressed with the ease of swapping in the universal controller and the cost that I ordered another unit to keep in our inventory for when the second furnace needs a replacement.

Our Lennox furnace was operating erratically. I did some research on the issues we were having (burners not igniting) and discovered that the control board is often the problem. Instead of paying the tech $500-$600 to service the furnace and replace the board, I spent one hour swapping out the board myself. I figured for $100 it was worth the "risk". Six weeks later and we have had zero issues! The board seems to be working perfectly. The instructions that came with the board were easy to understand and if you take your time and double-check your work, replacing the board is pretty easy.
