This is the worst quality shock I have ever seen.The only thing worth keeping/using is the 350 lb spring, and it is a very narrow diameter.

A shock absorber has a dampening feature this does not. If you remove the spring there is zero resistance when pushing the rod in and out. That makes this a spring holder.
