I looked all over for this fabric. I need an 18 X 18-inch piece for a sampler I'm making. Once I pulled out the cut off threads from each side of the fabric to make it square I ended up with about 17 and 1/4-inches. The original size of this fabric was stated to be 18 X 27 and it is still 27 long. Only one stray thread pulled out of the cut bottom.You would think a company that is making woven linen for cross stitching could manage to cut it's fabric on grain or to give a large piece so that the final squared up product was the stated size on the package. The was expensive and for the price not great quality. For those who haven't use Permin, it is rather see thru like a still gauze.

I cross-stitch on linen as I prefer the look of the stitching. This is very nice linen.

Loved the color of the linen, quality was good but it was just a stiffer linen than I like to stitch on. Any one liking a stiffer linen will love it.
