The HOFUDON Magnetic DIY Window Screen Kit is of decent quality.The screen is soft and flexible.Comes with instructions and a reference sample for a visual, which is a good help with the assembly.It is a decent kit for a DIY screen for the spring/summer season, and it can easily be removed to clean or put aside for the cold season.Do wish that the screen could be a little thicker for longevity reasons.

Instructions were helpful, although I found a better way than described after half an hour trying to follow the guide. My main problem is that they don’t provide the window seal depth, which is something some people would think to consider but I’m just trying to DIY and know nothing about this subject matter. Anyhow, the strips were way too wide. They did not fit my window frame at all and couldn’t fit into the grooves. After doing some research I discovered not all frames, even given the same WxH, are the same depth-wise. Alas, after all my hard work removing strips with tweezers and hanging out of my second floor window like a crazy person I could not find a solution to make these screens to work. They should provide the depth in description and all the other newbs like me should do research on this. Seems like a quality product that would work if you have the correct info needed

A very agitating install process, pressing the pvc over the screen onto magnetic strip to secure it in got me wanting to kick the window out of the structure. Press it on they said itll be easy they said. Ive banged at it with a hammer and it wont press in, and when it starts to and you go along the trail towards the end the beginning starts coming out. Very annoying. Cool concept and benefits if yu can achieve a perfect install but im ready to throw it in an inferno.

This is a great alternative to replacing window screens. It was easy to put together and has held up well so far. My window frames for the screens are bent so although I can replace the screen itself, the frame is still bent. This is a great solution to replacing the frames, which are more expensive than this kit. This was an easy DIY fix.

We've lived in our house for over 25 years and all of the window screens are original to when it was built and have started to show their age. One side window is an odd size and this DIY kit is perfect for the job of replacing the old beat up screen without requiring a major overhaul of the window in the process. The kit comes with easy to follow color illustration instructions, and it took me about an hour working alone to get the different components cut to size, positioned, and the screen assembled. The fiberglass mesh can be stretched taut and easily trimmed with a sharp Xacto knife once the frame is in place and the magnetic strips have a strong grip to hold the frame in place while making it easy to remove the entire screen for cleaning/maintenance down the road.

I lost a screen from one of my windows, and it is a chore to replace. This DIY window screen is finally giving me a chance to open my window again. I like that the screen is installed inside instead of outside. I like that it can be cut to fit the window and that it is magnetic. I like the corner clips that make it easy to lift or remove the screen when not in use. I like that the screen is washable, so dead bugs, pollen, and dust are easy to remove. I like the detachable and rollable screen, making it easy for storage. The instructions are easy to follow, and everything you need is in this kit. The only tool you will need is a pair of scissors. Overall, don't waste time hunting down a new screen when this kit lets you make your custom window screen in minutes.
