We got the nets for our vacation in Jekyll Island and were disappointed with the usability. Although the package looks great, seems well made, and the measuring ruler is handy, the nets didn't perform at all. The mesh is made of some sort of polyester cord and floats, so the crabs could never climb up and into the net to get the bait. We tried adding weights to the sides to make it lay flat, but could never get it to do so. We were in shallow enough water where we could watch them and that's how we realized what was happening. Would not recommend.

Pretty decent traps but a little expensive. I’ve seen very similar traps for sale at the bait and tackle shop for about half the price. The first set I got was exactly what was shown, the bottom openings were square. The second set had rectangular openings on the bottom allowing crabs to sometimes squeeze through. They were probably too small to keep but I’ll never know. The bait clips are also a little crappy. I’ve had them pop open if I tossed the trap a little hard and I lost the chicken leg.
