I have ordered three different balaclavas, and this is absolutely the warmest. I walk three miles every morning, here in the Rocky Mountains. This morning was -6 degrees, and this head mask kept me warm. The other two balaclavas I ordered were cold through them, very cold.To make this one work for me, I removed the string; I cut off much of the bottom that bunched up under my jacket; and I wear it high on my head to bring up the bottom, ignoring the somewhat annoying chin flap.

Walking the dogs on cold windy mornings in winter is much better now that I have this hood. It keeps the wind off my neck and my face and especially my chin and mouth. Sometimes I wear a hat underneath and the hood allows for the extra layer. It's a must have for me and I'm very satisfied with this product.
