This is a really nice scarf and the quality is very high. It looks great and is a very nice quality of wool.

I purchased the pink plaid and am so please with this scarf. It's soft and warm without being bulky or making me feel sweaty. The color and pattern are lovely. This scarf is versatile in how it can be worn. It's not stiff or thick. It's simultaneously breathable and warm. And even with the color and pattern, it can coordinate beautifully with a variety of clothes, jackets, shawls, and coats.

This scarf is really nice. I got it as a gift for my mom, she lives in Mexico most of the time so she's very cold when she comes to visit me during these Midwest winters. I can't speak on the plaid scarfs but the scarf that I got is very soft, not scratchy at all. I have autism and can be very sensitive to textures and the feel of things around my neck but I think even I would wear this. It also seems like it would last a long time, definitely multiple years. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

There are some other nice patterns in this listing, but the plaid pattern and 100% wool content (according to the tag) makes for a classic combo. Wool is great for keeping warm, and there's enough material here to do that well. But it's also good for breathability and its ability not to make you too warm at transitional temperatures if it's just hanging on your neck.I'd say the wool is decent for what you'd expect at around $30. Not a low-quality, immediately pilling scratchfest, but not like a luxurious cashmere or fine wool (it's probably at least 25 microns on average; there's no reason to think it's Merino). It seems like it will be durable and last many years. While it's soft to my fingers, I can tell that it wouldn't be comfortable on the sensitive skin of a sensitive person. That's not a problem if you're wearing it over a collared top (how I prefer it), but might be an issue for you otherwise. As far as the color on the "Vivid Viola" version, "Viola" is a genus that includes violets. That covers a range, so I'd say it's kind of a plum-fuchsia mix, leaning toward plum. I think it's great, and it's offset well by the mid-range gray and off-white thin stripes.I'm happy with this scarf, and I think I'd be happy with more from this listing. It'd be cool if they didn't use weird, computer-designed scenes of sheep, though! :/
