I have had this guitar for over a year now and am compelled to give a raving review. This guitar sits next to my recliner and gets plaid almost every day. It plays beautifully and stays in tune with good intonation. Has good action and very easy to play. I can't say enough how great of a purchase this guitar has been. The electronics may not be gig ready, but they work and for the price you can't get a better deal. Fantastic Deal!

You get what you pay for. It looks ok. It does not sound good and I did not try to hook it up to an amp. No reason. If it HAS to have an amp to project the sound what’s the point? I was given one right before this. If this one was good I’d keep it. Sorry but I do not recommend.

My 10 year old loves it. got him this one so he would leave mine alone ha.. Not bad for the price, but dont think this is high grade by any means. has to be tuned alot, a lot more than my classical guitar. But that maybe do to cheap strings. once we re-string i will better tell. But for the money, just till you know if they are going to stick with it, great guitar.

Fresh out of the packaging, the guitar had scratches, the paint was chipped in several places and the wood on the neck of the guitar was cracked. There is also damage within the body of the guitar. Pretty terrible for a "new" instrument.I'd only recommend this for someone desperate for a cheap guitar or for a child likely to continue treating the guitar like stage prop.

I received my guitar in a timely manner, UPS.Came home to find this almost destroyed box on my porch. Tears in the cardboard, crushed in a bit here and there, skimpy on the sealing tape, thin cardboard. It's a good thing the padded gig bag was around the guitar or it might have been destroyed. The guitar was also wrapped in that thin white foam they use, and the strings were wrapped with thin recycled paper, a total waste in my mind that is labor intensive. Should have put the money in the box!I removed it from the box, took off the thin foam, the string paper, cleaned it up, tuned it up, unwrapped the battery, put the battery button back in, (see below), and let it sit overnight to let the strings and guitar get used to my house.Unfortunately, next morning I discovered a dent, flat spot on the very top of the headstock where it had hit something while in the box during shipment. It plays fine, and since I repair guitars as a side retirement business, I went back and forth and decided returning it was more hassle than fixing the dent and the chip in the finish. If I was just a player and not a luthier, this would be going back for sure. It will take me about one hour to fix the finish, so I will keep it.By the way, I think it has a very nice sound, considering this thing is sapale plywood. Butterfly rosette is a bit cheesy, just a decal, but I can live with that. High E tuner is a bit stiff, will look into that. Overall for the price, I like it and wanted a knock-around the house classical, this fits the bill well. This would be an outstanding beginner unit, save the body is a bit deep for smaller players. The electric portion is intriguing, I plan to plug it up soon and see how much that piezo under-saddle feeds back and what it sounds like.As with a lot of lower end classicals, no strap buttons anywhere. Strictly a sit-down and play guitar. Thought they could at least put one on the bottom, so you could put on a strap and shoe-string it around the headstock side of the nut, but no. Considering it is classical electric, people will want to play this standing up.The guitar is a nice value for the money, save the strings are junk, but that is pretty much the norm, and I bought a good set of nylons in the same order. Just be warned, the strings are no-name, fluor carbon with Low E, A and D being silk wrapped. They stay in tune fairly well as classical strings go, but the G, B, and E are just stretching at strange and ridiculous amounts. I expect to have to tune up a classical every time I play it, but these are just junk. Get a new set of nice nylons as soon as you get it, or when you buy it.As a final note on the equipment, it comes with a cleaning rag, (worthless add on), a cheapo cord, and a tuner.Concerning the complaints on the tuner: These units depend on receiving vibrations from the headstock where most players mount the clip. This means that the vibration has to make it through the swivel ball which is integral to all these types of tuners, like Snarks. This one, the little ball joint is not that tight, not as well made as others I've used.I'd say that the people having trouble getting a reading on their tuner have a loose ball joint connection on their tuner. Mine had two loose spots, probably due to poor injection molding. I found a couple tight spots where the ball is making good connection with the main tuner, and have had absolutely no problems with my tuner. It's not a Snark, but it works just fine, as long as you make sure your ball joint is tight in the tuner. To turn it off, just hold the button in longer, and it goes off. Nice add-on, the tuner is good for many stringed instruments, and is also chromatic. The main and only button will toggle through the different instruments, including chromatic, where I leave mine. Screen turns green when you are in tune, blue when not.The packaging, oh my, is nothing more than one thin box, that angled guitar shaped box, with the tuner, cord and cleaning rag stuffed in a nook inside the box, not even in the bag. Miracle they were still there. This is a pretty good deal for a decent classical, but the packaging is about as effective as a garbage bag.Thank heavens for that padded gig bag...or I am certain I would have had more damage. One last thing, it came through with a lot of little white particles all over the guitar. And the battery check button was falling out, but when I put it back in it clicked into some position and it now stays in and works. I have not plugged it up yet, but the battery, after taking off the cello wrap, seemed to work fine and the battery check light now works well when I push the battery check button. All this could be avoided if they just put another dollar into a thicker grade of cardboard on their box and a little more packing tape. Two stars off for shoddy, cheap packaging that will not stand up to what was a simple two day delivery.UPDATE: I own a Fender Acoustatronic amplifier, so I decided that was the best choice for this guitar, since it is merely a piezo pickup under the saddle. I am pleased to report that the unit, although it doesn't sound exactly like a classical through the amplifier, does work well, the controls on the pre-amp on the side of the guitar work well, and it didn't feed back anywhere near to what I thought it would. I would guess that the nylon strings are more resistant to harmonics than a set of regular acoustic steel strings. It had a pleasant sound, little light but by adding bass and treble on the pre-amp, and lowering the mid, putting the presence in the middle, I was able to achieve a very nice tone that worked really well for fingerpicking.Adding back a star for good tone through an amp.

Very impressed by this guitar for the price. Beautiful guitar that has a deep tone comparable to the Oscar Schmidt I've been playing for years. I wasn't sure how a pickup would sound on a nylon guitar, but it picks up the sound adequately. It's a little bigger and heavier than the classical guitars I'm used to. Not as big as a normal acoustic, but a little longer than a classical. The internals make it a little bottom heavy which isn't an issue when playing.I love the look and finish on the guitar. No blemishes or craftsmanship issues. The design around the soundhole is a red and white butterfly design that isn't my favorite, but that's just personal taste. The tuning pegs have a fake marble stone look to them, a nice little touch. Even the bag is good quality with a sharp gray color with black outlines and rests on the bottom to prevent damage. Also comes with an adjustment tool for the bridge and a battery for the pickup.Only complaint is the tuner it comes with is garbage. I got it working but had to maneuver it around the head for it to pick up accurately. Not much else to say. I'd put it on par with a $300 - $350 guitar. Definitely worth it.

Its pretty great..howeverThe first guitar I received had a crack under the polyurethane gloss and the internal pick up didn't work. I addressed these issues with Amazon and the seller and they had a replacement guitar at my door within 48 hours. Once I received the replacement and inspected that it was in pristine working order I have had no problems with it, the guitar came pretty much set up there was no adjustments required for the truss rod the action was pretty spot-on. I recommend using different strings than the ones that came on the guitar and the spare set provided just because playing with higher-quality strings makes for a more pleasurable playing experience and they last longer. But overall I am an intermediate guitar player who's been playing for over 15 years and I just wanted something that was low cost but still high quality enough that I could use it for both practice and live shows without worrying about a high-quality guitar getting messed up on the road.I would recommend this guitar both for beginners and for more advanced players who want the sound of a classical guitar but don't want to spend a ton of money. The body produces an impressive sustain, the Timbre is warm yet crisp and the internal pick up was married appropriately to accentuate these tones. Overall i am very please
