Do not run these at high speeds! They will throw more quills than a porcupine. I turn down the speed on my dremel and they work ok for cleaning. If you can not adjust the rpm on your tool you do not want these. In their defense, I have had the same problem with dremel brand wire brushes too. That’s why a 3 and not a 1.

I bought this item to clean some brass statues and I have gone through 2 metal wire brushes for 3 little statues, as soon as I started using them, the metal started flying off, don't waste your money and your time.

These things are COMPLETE garbage!! Honestly I don't even know how these are being allowed to be sold on here. They're extremely dangerous and come apart very easily and throw the little metal shavings or bristles everywhere. Can very easily damage an eye if you don't wear eye protection, DANGEROUS!! And they don't even really work very good. The bristles are too soft to really clean anything and then they fall apart the second after you start using them. If you do buy these be careful and make sure you wear eye protection and get ready for those little metal bristles to be everywhere and embedded in your skin your clothes everywhere. Just remember I warned you!

As you start using these, stinging nettles embed in your hands, shirt, face, hair almost immediately. The more you use it, the quicker they come.These polish well, but good thing they come in a multi-pack as they shred pretty quickly.

I use these a lot to clean out the carbon build up on on 2 stroke pistons - they fit nicely into the groove, but they sent wire bristle shrapnel everywhere. They are generally used up after a single piston groove, and I'm also looking like a porcupine due to the number of wire bristles that are stuck in my arms/shirt when I'm done. Would be nice if they had a more robust method of securing the wires to the center to help improve the longevity.

I use these daily in parts clean up ...They last pretty good...make sure you turn speed down on dremel...
